This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. kzbin.infoUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

This is just superb, been searching for "woodworking router table accessories" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yiyli Yeyavid Booster - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my partner got excellent success with it.

I seen the long version of this, planning on starting this project today, but I am not using ply, I have reclaimed lumber from pallets so a bit more work but already have a worthy set of brothers to give this table too.

You are awesome, thank you for all your videos. I had a step-grandfather that helped me make a jewelry box with a hidden storage drawer slide in the bottom back when I was 15. Since then I have always dreamed of having my own woodworking shop just to build things for my family and friends.. Your videos have really helped me understand more about .. well.. everything. I am on a limited budget right now, and am only working with tools I have acquired for general remodeling along the way.. but I hope to slowly acquire tools. Currently I have all the basics from your #42 except a router.. Ive always wanted one, but like you said in that video "most people" think they are only for fancy edges.. I had no idea how much use I could get out of one. So that might be my first purchase. But you might advise me differently. Say I have $1000 budget to purchase tools (I know Ill be spending far more than this.. but just to start) , and I currently have: -Basic Craftsman circular saw -drill/ impact driver set x2 -Dewalt dw745 table saw :/ -Craftsman 10" miter saw, non sliding -craftsman jig saw So, pretty much.. all new tools is what I need.. May I ask.. What would you do with $1000 initial budget? Or a little more if I can get more bang for my buck by spending more. Thanks again! Also: just because.. I can tell you aren't a painter, but I love your choice for painting this table.. as far a the lacquer and tint. But.. be careful of overspray and painting out doors. I would get an enclosure at the very least to protect your work from any random things that the wind can carry. You dont have to do alot, even one of those pop up canopies (ones commonly seen at outdoor events/ tailgating etc. 4 legs, about 8' tall, with only the top covered by default), with a tarp wrap would help. Then, to help with over spray. I would predrill a small hole in a joined side that will be covered up after assembly, and temporarily put an eye hook in, or use existing holes that will be used for screws/ bolts later, improvise something.. then use a wire or cut up a coat hanger to go through the eye hook.. handle the pieces that way, and hang to dry that way. :) I know you already know all this, and probably I havent gotten to that video yet.. ha.

at 2:21 it looks like the framerate of the camera lines up perfectly with the stroke of the jigsaw blade and the blade appears stationary even though the saw is on.
@woodwhisperer9 жыл бұрын
+DesolationRobot That's actually a property of the saw itself. The built-in light has a feature where it increases visibility by giving it that still effect. It's pretty weird.

what plywood is that you are using? it has a lot of plies for a standard plywood. when I saw the first images, it seemed like Baltic birch but the plan uses a 4x8 sheet. Where do you find decent ply like that? I'm here locally in Arizona too and usually use timber hardwoods.

Looks great, our family has a small hall table that my daughter put hand prints on when she was small with different color paints. It is a simple pine table which will not last forever so some day I will cut out the painted hands and put them on something else for her kids, many years from now.

Marc, love the set and a great build. However, the pull pin to release the top may be too small when it comes to kids. For safety, if the item can fit through the cardboard toilet roll, a child could choke on the item.

Great video! Thanks, Marc. It's great seeing your son in there with you. I'll be looking for your new shop "helper" in future videos. OK ... you answered the question about the wood filler--what about the spray adhesive? I'd like to see a short video where you show the various adhesives you use and when you typically use them. I see Izzy Swan uses a product called 2P-10 for quick assembly. Do you use anything similar? Thanks! The Woodworking Chaplain4Cops

hi Marc, nice project! I will try to make one set of these but bigger, do you think this design of chair in a bigger scale is a good design for adults??? I have to make a set of chairs for my living room and as I never made chairs before this design looks like something I could make, I just don't know how the bigger chairs will handle the use of adults...
@woodwhisperer9 жыл бұрын
+Tiago Jorge It will work for adults but you might need to add some additional reinforcement: more dowels, maybe more bolts. Now that doesn't mean it's going to be comfortable. So scale it up and build a mock-up. I think the key with this furniture is that it's easy to batch out and can be flat-packed. Comfort is definitely NOT one of its strong points. :)
