I had been waiting for this episode! Another fantastic video. I played Backyard Wrestling to death back around its release. That game was seriously addictive. I remember really wishing it had an online mode via Xbox Live at the time, and when the sequel came out for the Xbox, it still didn’t have online capability! Strangely enough, the PlayStation 2 version of BYW2 had online capability. Strange times, but awesome times! I will definitely be rewatching if this one!

Great to hear Joe in this video. Love his videos! As a collector of wrestling games, I have at least a couple of the games mentioned here. Cutie Suzuki is a fun game. The Simpson's Wrestling is bad. Backyard Wrestling is just dumb fun. I have yet to play Slam Masters 2 or VPW 2.

VPW2 is easy enough to come by for the N64, but you'd probably need to just emulate Slam Masters 2, I played it on MAME myself.

Another great game never talked about is Giant Gram 2000 on the Dreamcast. Incredibly deep wrestling game for those who haven’t tried it

Power Moves Pro Wrestling on the PS1 is a really good (for its time) unbranded wrestling game and, if memory serves, what WCW vs the World’s game engine came from? Also, even though the games I’m about to mention aren’t obscure by any stretch, I wish we’d get a third Def Jam Vendetta. Those were so fucking great!

From what I understand the parent company went bankrupt and closed its various businesses. There are no plans to reopen the Container that I'm aware of.

1 - Rainier Wolfcastle was not in Simpsons Wrestling so the game was doomed from the start. 2 - Cutey Suzuki actually wrestled at least one match for WCW

Obscure? I literally bought all of those games for 4$ each at my local store in KC. Try finding Any AJW carts or WrestleQueendome on disc. Or any C64 wrestling games. How about the Jesse Ventura game?

I know that a person who I'm sub to name Ian from 616 Entertainment did a review of The Simpsons Wrestling and he hated it (which I agree). If The Simpsons Wrestling was at the price of $0.99, I would not touch it.

I don't know, that simpsons wrestling game could be one of the worst games. At the time i was a big fan of simpsons and wrestling and it was even more disapointing that it was as bad as it was. Ehhhhhh....
