This week we took the girls to Kidspace in Pasadena to check out their bubble planet experience that’s running now to September. Having visited before we already knew they were going to have fun so we were excited to see what changes Bubble Planet brought. Their event-inspired stations consisted of two hands-on bubble-making zones, a spot for making aliens smile, a fun Bubble photo opportunity contraption, and a helium bubble show that the little ones can ohhh and ahhhh over. It’s not a lot of additional content but it’s definitely enough to keep the kids interested.
Obviously, we were a bit concerned about bringing the girls out to be around others during this current spike in covid cases. But if everyone else is comfortable bringing their kids to a mask-less Disneyland then a 100% masked Kidspace seems super reasonable.
In order to protect everyone’s kids, Kidspace still has most of the Pandemic precautions we’re used to in full effect. Employees are quick to remind visitors of their agreed-upon rules and make sure everything is sanitized as much as possible. Trang and I were very thankful for that. Their mask mandate was actually why we opted to reserve our tickets for 5 pm. I think we all know how masks can suck in the summer heat so avoiding the hottest part of the day can help a lot when it comes to comfort.
Altogether we spent two hours inside Kidspace and we’re sure the girls would have loved to stay there even longer if it hadn’t closed. Emree loved the bubble stations and Kairi’s favorite part was the building area. Kairi’s already asking to go back so we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for future events. While we aren’t the type to revisit places, Kidspace has figured out how to get kids playing to learn and we love that. Check it out if you haven’t already. See you next week #kidspacemuseum
We’ll be sure to link the blog post here once we got it up.
