I dunno dude, I've been to good techno parties and I'm from the "newer" generation :) It's probably not the same as in the old days, but how many things stay the same? Then again, I'm from Bulgaria and people aren't really into the commercial shit over here, there's a lot of underground dj's that play pretty much this kind of techno. So every time I read something like "techno is dead", I tell people - it's still pretty much alive, just look outside the mainstream.
