How to diagnose broken motor of meepo board

I actually want to revise this a bit because there is a grain of truth in the previous comment. In regards to the previous post..This post is I think a bit over the top and bashes to hard on an otherwise really nice board. I bought a Meepo board v1.5 38 inch and have had a 30 inch and they are amazing boards, feel fast and the 38 inch deck has a great amount of flex and stability. When you open it up you see it's a really nice board. My experience with it overall has been solid. Basically all the replacement parts are really affordable, easy to install and they're shipping time is really quick. It's true however they don't do much advertising. On the note of contacting Kieran he handles all his enquiries himself.. I personally haven't had any issues getting ahold of him but I will say dealing with him has been good overall but I had some issues. He responds with really short answers and his English is really broken, a lot of the time I had trouble understanding what he was saying and I had a little bit of an issues resolving a couple things with him although I will admit partly it's my fault. It sucks in sounds like Proto-J's experience was quite a bit worse then mine. It's worth mentioning I had the board for a little over 2 weeks and I did get a lot of little scratches in the urethane but no chipping but I would say it's durability was a little bit overstated, but don't get my wrong it is good and i think it will last for a while. There is some what I think is called voltage sag maybe not though anyway when you hit 50% battery you do see a noticeable decrease in torque and hill climbing ability but the top speed remains the same or really close. I do want to say just finishing up that this board is really nice and I don't regret spending the money on it I think it's a fantastic board and is really identifying itself as separate from other boards with these new iterations like the 1.5.

Hi kiernan. I ordered a meepo v3 a month ago, and one of my hub motors stopped working, it only spins sometimes. Im wondering if i should get a replacement or is there a fix for this

Brandon Reid I figured out what happen, they’re sending me a new motor bc I’m still under warranty, basically, the motor has magnets that surrounds this electrical circuit. Somehow the motor got damaged bc I slammed the board and the magnets broke and it’s stuck basically, I opened it and figured it out

Alex Khan yes I fixed it, apparently over time the metal in the wheels break. And that’s what’s causing it not to move. So I ordered another hub motor wheel

I have the same problem I thought it was the motor but it's a little square panel the electronic panel the Black cover I rewired it and I have good speed their connections are malfunctioning and burning out the subjects

Hi Kieran ! I am currtently riding the mini 2 ER I love it so much!. Unfortunately one of the motors are having issue where it locks up , so i tried this technique and swap the motor connections and it actually works perfectly fine now . So does that mean my ESC is busted? and also can I leave it in the same connections and plug the esc back up or should i return wires to the normal connection. Thank you I love my meepo and i want to continue to ride it as long as I can.

I have the same problem, wheel is totally locked, can't even remove the sleeve. Any advice please ?

Has anyone had the issue of the battery draining almost instantly and dying when climbing hills, but then if you push the board manually for a while (pulling the brake while pushing helps), your board recognizes it has almost full battery? It will die again as soon as I accelerate, especially fast if there is any kind of uphill grade. I put in a new battery and wheel hubs but the problem persisted. Next try is the ESC, but I’m not confident it will solve the problem.

I charge my meepo v3 and the battery is still dead battery I hope it's only the battery so I can replace it

Sometimes the battery become discharged. This can be fix with a torque boost. Try to find a large hill and coast on the board with it. Or have some one in a car pull you while you ride the board for 5 min. Then try your battery again. Should start right up and take a charge like normal. Need to activate the electrons in the cells again. Good Luck!!

Kieran you sell hub drive motors, but are you going to cater to the other customers that want belt drive systems? Alibaba.com sells a cloned eboard just like yours but in a dual belt drive variant!! 2 in one as well, all terrain(off road wheels) and street wheel setup!!! I think you need to change it up alot and attack the entire electric skateboard market!!! I'd be your first buyer for sure!!!

i totally agree with you, I bought a board it came today and the motors are not working the led on the battery wouldn't turn on, Now i guarantee they are going to ask me to fix this problem my self with parts they send me. if i wanted to do that and get hands on i would have just made my own board with parts, and the thing with this company is that this keeps happens there is a high percentage of consumers who are dissatisfied with there shoddy workmanship, but they send them parts and ask them to take down bad reviews so they can make sales. They are the worst company ever in my opinion absolutely annoyed with them
