My Vader has a Birdseye maple board with abalone inlays and I’ve been using steel wool on it since the first string change. 3 years later the board looks exactly as it did the day I got it, it won’t mess anything up, as an upside it also polished the frets to a mirror finish.

@@CodyCleggMusic steel wool lightly over top won’t hurt anything ensure you use ultra fine 0000 and use oil to help remove the gunk and buffer against your fretboard.

I had a friend use a magic eraser on an extremely dirty maple board and it looked brand new when he was done. One pass and it looked amazing. He said that you do not have to press hard at all. Just go with the grain and watch the grime disappear.

We have identical taste in guitar aesthetics; I LOVE the clear back with the turquoise burst quilted top, had a Peavey HP special for a while with that same look, white pickups, gold frets, etc. Beautiful instrument!

I got a Kiesel Aries 7 a month ago , it was used but less than a year old and had everything I was going to get on the Aries I planned on ordering next year , only difference is I was going for a 3 piece and this one has a 5 piece so even better. I also have never played a Kiesel so it’s a nice dip into it . It’s truly Most amazing guitar I’ve ever played and I’ve played a few high end custom shops ! I’m excited to get a zeus made soon and since how I got the Aries early I’ll be able to get another Kiesel made next year . Love your guitar too , Kiesel really makes works of art and incredibly high quality builds . Kiesels play better than some $10k guitars I’ve played

I own several Carvin/Kiesels and just got an Aries off Reverb. I'm mainly a bass player but I really like this instrument. Found one about 3 years old with virtually zero use for $975. I couldn't say no!

@@CodyCleggMusic Absolutely. I have a B40 fretless, AC40 electric/acoustic, Vanquish multiscale, LB20 and and B24. I also have a real German Warwick and it compares best to the Vanquish but the Carvin/Kiesels are overall better. Especially in feel/ergonomics. Look up my name on Reverbnation and you'll hear them. Mostly my B24.

I got my first Kiesel in 2016 and it has held up perfectly. Only issue is that it has a satin finish and I have the glossy spots, but that is the nature of satin finish. I don't mind them at all. Natural wear and tear that I did myself. I have 10 Kiesel's now and all are awesome. I use 0000 steel wool all the time on my fretboards. Works great. Cleans the board and polishes the frets.

Oh man. 10 Kiesels, that's awesome. I definitely want to build a few more 😁 and yeah, I kinda like the look of that natural wear tear. Takes a long time to earn those battle scars!

Nice! That’s a gorgeous guitar, and you play really well! The Lithium humbuckers sound great-it’s nice to hear a demo on those, especially with clean tones. I have an Aries with a bolt-on 5-piece flame maple and purpleheart neck, pale moon ebony fretboard with abalone blocks (it’s a big one; I got the extra-thick profile with 20” radius), trans white swamp-ash back with a quilted-maple top in Purple Arctic, chrome hardware, and the Kiesel trem( and three Lithium single-coil pickups. I almost went with an all-Lithium HSH setup, but I hadn’t heard the Lithium humbuckers yet when I ordered the guitar, and I’m more of a single-coil player anyway. I’ll try to post a pic if I can figure out how to do it on this page.

If you're worried just use a rubber eraser, it'll get a lot of the grime off with none of the anxiety. And if you use if regularly you won't need anything else

You can use steekwool 0000, no problem. I have a Kiesel DC700 with flamed maple fretboard and abalone dot inlays. On a regular basis I clean the fretboard and polish the frets with steelwool. No issues thus far

@@CodyCleggMusic you’re welcome. An importion addition is whether or not to put oil on the fretboard after polishing it clean. Because I live in a high tropical humidity environment and I have ‘oily’ fingers I never have to apply any oil to my fretboard. If I would then there can be a potential risk of mold grow and that’s not want we want. So depending on where you live you make the decision if or how many times you apply oil to your fretboard. If you do then a little oil is sufficient.

Very nice demo. Even though the Lithium pickups aren't for me, I think they are great for your modern playing style. I have an old D.C. 127 that I've been thinking of trying the Beryllium pickups on.

I use steel wool all the time, usually at the first string change on a new guitar and then you won't need it for some time when you maintain your neck and wash your hands before playing. It's difficult to tell from the video but I think your frets especially need a bit of a polish. Don't be afraid to use steel wool for the fretboard and frets and oil the fretboard afterwards.

HA You re Welcome ! They did a great job on your Finish. I brought the first Aqua Burst idea to Carvin over 15 years ago. The concept of what it would look like if you were siting on a beach in the Caribbean. How do i Know this ? Well they used my guitar color scheme as the protype and 3 months later I saw the perfect version of my guitar on their very last print catalogue cover no coincidence. I only got a 500 credit for the concept they knew they took from me and standardized it. Since that guitar Carvin and then Kiesel were the first to take that Burst idea to the entire industry. No one was doing burst color schemes back then. It certainly propelled something every guitar company does now.

always get mixed feelings on Kiesel some video's reviews make feel ok give them a go like your video for example, other video's people's guitars turn up with terrible QC and others say customer service is hit and miss.... 😅😅😅😅😆😆😆and now there price's are basically on par with Suhr etc 😅

I cant speak for everyone, but my experiences so far with the 2 guitars I've gotten have been fantastic! I asked a lot of questions both times I built and found the customer service to be super friendly and helpful FWIW! They aren't cheap though, that's definitely true 😂

Hey! 👋 Sorry, I didn't mention in the video but these are the EVO medium jumbo frets in gold. They aren't complete SS, but I think the general concensus is they would probably wear faster than SS, but they are still extremely durable and I haven't had any issues at all!

Fuck that's gorgeous. I've been playing casually for many many years. The bad thing about being a casual is that you still want these, but you can't justify it because you are kinda trash. Nothing feels dumber than when you have guests over and they see pretty guitars and are like "play us something" and you definitely aren't at the level to have that many pretty guitars.
