Kiesel: One Man's Trash Another Man's Treasure?

I have a Kiesel A6 I customized and brought brand new in 2016 and it plays beautifully to this day. I bought a used Kiesel Vader multiscale 7 from Reverb that the owner babied and it plays fantastically. I love that the person from the internet thread shared their experience, but it's one experience out of the millions of fantastic guitars that are made by Kiesel.

I have Delos and an Aries. Both are rock solid. I never have to tune them. One I drop d the other in standard e. Love em. Looking to build an a2 next.

I received my Kiesel / Carvin branded JB200C back in August 2021 and it is built rock solid! I still have not had to do any truss rod adjustments! That is superb quality, it's the best guitar I've ever owned!

I love Kiesels - have owned and sold a bunch, with 1 in the oven. For me, it's hard to buy a used one because I'm pretty particular about what I want.

I’ve had a bunch of Kiesels, and my only complaint with them is that they don’t round off their fret ends and they leave the tang exposed, which contributes to these having sharp frets over time. I’ve hade many used ones that arrived with minor fret sprout. Out of 150+ guitars of all price ranges throughout my 33 years of life, I almost never have had a fret sprout issue.

Hahaha! I remember that thread :) And I remember thinking there's no way the guitar or company were any where near as bad as the OP was implying. I've been buying from Carvin and Kiesel for decades, and while there were some occasional cosmetic issues with the Carvins, the Kiesels have always been amazing.

It’s hard if it’s not a big brand guitar, they’re impossible to try out bc they’re just not available. I’ve never seen a Kiesel in a shop around where I live, I’d love to try one out. If there’s a guitar you see online, you’ll have to buy it to try it. Just make sure they have a good return policy.

Egos do moan about Kiesels sometimes but the reality is Kiesels are certainly the best guitar Ive ever owned!!! I will be building a anew one later this year. Good buy there! Well done.

I have that "I don't really like it" with my RG752mfs-vfd. It's not that it's not a good guitar, but I can't put my finger on what it is. A lot of people seem to love the PAF7's in it, but I find them a bit dull. But that seems a relatively small reason for me to not like it, as there's a use for less high-output pickups too. I've barely played it in the past 4 years though.

@@thedavidshreds I've considered selling it, but prices seem to fluctuate quite a bit on it. I had a casual offer of 1200 USD some years ago, but that was far less than what I'd want. It's the one that only had 39 made world wide. Not sure what it could go for now. Seems about 1700-1900 USD, so it's definitely something to consider. Just not sure what I'd want instead, and possibly just putting some other pickups in it would make me use it more again... but maybe not!

YES! hahaha that's crazy, yeah MGR is my favorite website to shop around on, man. They're super nice, and if something has been sitting there for a minute they'll always cut you a deal.
