~ Ahogyan Sterczer Hilda mesélt az őt kerülőúton megtaláló, az elkerülhetetlen és az általa választott kihívásokról, az járt a fejünkben, hogy ennek az embernek sosem fogy el az energiája és a kitartása.
Egyrészt, mi már szinte abba belefáradtunk, ahogy a nyolcezresek megmászásáról, erről a már-már emberfeletti teljesítményről mesélt. Másrészt, egészen lenyűgöző az a mód, ahogyan a Hópárduc Alapítvány keretében a falmászás és a mesék elegyével fejlesztik gyermekek kognitív és kommunikációs készségét.
Hilda a mászás során sok mindent megtanult, ami általánosan, az életben is igaz. Például, hogy minél közelebb vagyunk a csúcshoz, a célhoz, annál kevésbé látjuk azt körvonalazódni. Az a bizonyos hegy pedig mindannyiunk életében ott van, de az már a mi felelősségünk, hogy észrevegyük és igent mondjunk rá.
~ When Sterczer Hilda talked about all the challenges that found her on side roads, that were inevitable and that were chosen by herself, we couldn't help but wonder that this woman has infinite energy and perseverance.
On the one hand, we've got tired just from listening to her talk about climbing mountains over 8000 meters, a near superhuman performance. On the other hand, it's amazing how - at the Hópárduc foundation - they are developing the cognitive and communication skills of children, with wall climbing techniques and fairy tales.
During climbing, Hilda learned many things that are also valid in general, in life. For example, the closer a goal is to the peak, the less we see it. And that particular mountain is in all of our lives, but it's our responsibility to notice and accept it.
Height and depth. Although in everyone’s life there are rough times and remarkable events, in Hild’s life these ups and downs were quite extreme. She went to the Himalayas and even stood at the peak of two mountains with heights of more than 8000 meters. At the same time, she experienced the real depth of human life, when her husband, Erőss Zsolt passed away.
As a teacher, she met many children, and after the decease of her husband, she gathered all the things she learned from education and alpinism. This is how the wall climbing development-based Hópárduc method was born, that methodology was created with the help of physiotherapists and other specialists. More than 400 children are helped by this method so that they can experience better performance and more minor failures at school. Hilda believes that the secret of a satisfying life is self-identity. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
