He's not an original member, nor did he help develop their style. Kiko is a hired gun, the same as Marty. Marty says he doesnt even like to palm mute. LoL. So yeah.. whenever a hired gun is involved, of course.. they arent going to have the same exact style as the people in the band who started the style of music they play.

I stepped away from my guitar..Heart broken , But here I find encouragement . Tonight !!.... . I had my thumb amputated , Stage 4 cancer , bleeding and barely able to walk . I needed this . God bless you! There is this man, called Joao Carlos Martins which is a brazilian pianist sheredder. Kiko's done some jam with him. He got some paralysis in his hands and he's got to overcome all the issues and reinvented himself. Truly inspiring, man!

Here are some players who were missing fingers or had other hand/arm limitations: Tony Iommi, Django Reinhardt, Les Paul, Jerry Garcia, Andres Godoy, Christian Muenzner, Theodore Roosevelt “Hound Dog” Taylor . . . and I’m sure there are others that come to mind. I, myself, have been disabled for 20 years from a work accident with a syndrome that causes chronic pain, muscle weakness, dexterity issues, tremors, skin sensitivity, etc. It affects my entire body. I also became ill in 2018 and needed a major lung biopsy that messed up my right arm. I also have a brain injury from the 2003 accident. Somehow, I overcame a ton and learned to play on my own. Of course I am no pro, but I’ve come much farther than I ever imagined. You can do it too! You may have to try things and be patient, but you will learn to compensate faster than you think. Hope this gives you hope. Once you heal, you can use it as a form of therapy. Playing guitar has been my physical, occupational, cognitive, and recreational therapies all rolled into one. I play every day or night unless I’m truly too sick. Being tired is not an excuse because I’m always tired and a few minutes is all it takes to get a little playing in. My service dog also enjoys his music time every day. Once you’ve healed and fell like you are ready, pick up that guitar and just try what works and doesn’t. Sometimes you can make your own assistive devices to help you along. I sure have done that to help me. Using alternate chords helps. I can’t do barre chord song, so I use power chords and/or open chords instead. You’re gonna figure it out, promise! Be well, my friend. You got this!

Megadeth has had some great musicians in the band over the years, but my two favorites are Marty and Kiko. "Rust In Peace" is my favorite Megadeth album. "Temple Of Shadows" is my favorite Angra album.

My experience is that a few days off after an intensive workout-type practice series actually helps - the pieces I was practicing hard went more natural after a 2-3 days off. Ok, perhaps it was just a day or 2 but you get the picture.😄 Cheers!

I love megadeth, one of my top 5 favorite bands, but I love angra even more, they are my 2nd favorite of all time behind kamelot, so when kiko left angra for megadeth, that was so cool to see. Prog-power metal and thrash metal have alot more in common than people seem to notice.

Kiko, it would be fantastic if you could do a solid in-depth video on how Mustaine re-learned to play after his arm nerve injury in 2002(?) where doctors told him he would never play again. He plays better after re-learning how to play after injury, than most people can play with no injury. What is the magic there??

Kiko sabe uma coisa que me identifiquei contigo desde quando comecei a estudar guitarra com 11 anos de idade(hoje tenho 33), foi que achei incrivel vc TAMBEM SER CANHOTO e aprender destro e me lembro que no começo la atras, muitos me diziam por pura ignorancia mesmo (ate pq ngm que me falo isso sabia tocar kkkkkkkk) que seria dificil eu aprender a tocar sendo canhoto, kkkkk, sei la ser canhoto na epoca era algo estranho, ngm acreditava muito, claro que eu era criança e nao tinha maturidade pra entender aquela informação e levava pro coração, depois claro, fui entender que aquilo era uma grande idiotice kkkkk, mas na epoca me deixo bem triste, ficava frustrado e triste por ser canhoto kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk depois isso se exorcisou, e apos todos os anos de ate uns uns tempos pra ca que ja acompanhava o angra e vc etc a anos, fui saber que vc tb era canhoto, isso me deixo mais feliz ainda, a jornada dos canhotos pra ajustar a pegada/precisão e ritmica da mao direita é um estudo ne de experimentações, sei la eu pelo menos fiquei anos tentando primeiro me encontrar na palheta e ver como pra mim seria mais interessante/confortavel e eficiente com ritmo/groove e fluidez e depois fui ajustando com a mao esquerda que pra mim era mais facil! e voce me ajudo muito nisso! obrigado sempre
