There is a reason to ask for a curve. I've lead some pug raids on my own and there is a pretty big difference in asking and not asking. If you don't demand curve it's usually a big shitshow that ends on the second boss, and if you do ask for curve your average group can make it to avatar at least.

Just killed him on heroic like an hour ago. Obelisks are not fun to deal with. Really, really fun fight though, and a real challenge as a final boss should be. Way more difficult than Gul'Dan heroic in my opinion.

Haven't done it in HM yet but the boss was cheap af on NM. Abilities barely overlap so you mainly deal with them one by one. I'm really hoping it gets better in HM.

He really is a lot more interesting on HC, though the first intermission is still pretty boring. I hope they add something exciting for Mythic, because I feel like the fight is really close to being amazing, similar to Lei Shen.

On phase 2 for us he would cast Armageddon when the tank swaps. So we HAD to have an immunity player go soak the tank meteor for the 1st and 2nd armageddons in phase 2. Else it would just 1shot us tanks regardless of mitigation. The 3rd armageddon was back to normal as it wasn't as the tanks were swapping.

Personally Phase 3 is the hardest for me. Finding the obelelisk safe spot every time it's cast is sometimes hard to do. Furthermore, I don't find Phase 2 to be stressful at all. Soaking armageddons is really simple, managing the dreadflames is just a matter of positioning, and the shadow reflections just fall over to cleave and AoE

Fatboss, you guys would really benefit from a quick TL;DR at the beginning just to give us a picture of how the fight plays out. A huge list of mechanics is hard to relate to the fight, even with the wonderful descriptions you guys give. I've just noticed that when I watch one of these videos, it's 50x easier for me to understand having done the normal version, or whenever you guys give a brief explanation of the fight at the beginning. Sometimes you do it, sometimes you don't. Thanks for the vids!

Bless of spellwarding is 3 minutes CD, BoP is 5 minutes CD.. And we're pretty busy to locate the player, and shield him.. if he's in range at all... Took us 30 wipes to kill him on heroic, worth every punch on the keyboard for each wipe!

What the fuck is this raid design, seriously. P2 is like a demented game show challenge where you have to hop on one foot, eyes closed, while keeping your right hand index finger on your nose and bouncing a basketball with your left hand. While singing the national anthem, BACKWARDS.

this fight looks ridiculous, fights should not be this complicated, fights like maiden or avatar are much better designed fights IMHO far fewer mechanics but meaningful ones. this fight is more a test of your memory than your skill or reaction time, it's about remembering everything and predicting and "reacting" before things even happen.

Prot Pala HP is ridiculously low. i get the idea of a tank with high "Effective hp" but in a world where Brewmasters and bears exist, and bring hp and effective hp... cant be justified just because they can "heal a lot"

Absolutely no problem for prot pallys to tank it anyways. Did it with a 912 pally (on hc), no issues. Hits hard but a bit like you said, they heal when they go low. And rotate CDs.

You seem to be out of the loop. Alternate Timeline Gul'Dan fled to our Azeroth, went into the Tomb of Sargeras, this time not getting killed and opening a portal using some kind of secondary Well of Eternity but smaller. We go into the Tomb to close it off, and Kil'Jaeden is there. We even get to fight the imprisoned Avatar of Sargeras. Though I will concede that the Tomb is in better condition than Illidan thought he left it

I honestly mean it when i say "i'm not being a dick here". And obviously don't condone the act of screaming at someone over a video game. BUT!!!! the dungeon journal which is available day 1, does tell you that the ability "Shadow Reflection" creates a copy of you after 8 seconds that deals damage. Reading that makes me think of Nythendra's MC aka group up and be cleaved on the boss. All the info you need to know is in the journal you don't need a video guide to know the fight on the first pull. Best of luck on future pugs.

when you are afflicted with 'Shadow Reflection' your grp should expect you to stack right under KJ's ass......you eventually are disconnected from your larger self and will have to dps down not only your reflection but 2 others (3 total - on normal) as well.................hope that helps

There are videos of people doing mythic bosses without mechanic helping addons, but those are people who have practices that boss for minimum 100 pulls.

M. K exactly,that's how I personally deal with boss fights,with sound. Which fucked me up on Botanist mythic as he doesn't say a word in first phase D: Also,if you're used to that it doesn't take nearly as much as 100 pulls to get it right.If you're used to not play easy mode with addons,you adapt very quickly (in some cases,quicker than someone who relies too much on addons)

Can someone tell me how the "find humanoid" actually looks in that phase? As a feral I have the ability as well, but I haven't actually been able to tell where Illidan was, looking at the minimap. Is it tiny and did I just miss it, or what?

Sadly still only 8/9H pug herioc KJ is a nightmare. now with the enrage we die to it. best attempt was .5% like -_- if the one dps just didn't die would have been set.

Tom Wallen Well it’s not a soft enrage, that’s why. It could an enrage or it could not, depending how on well your group can continue to do the mechanics.
