I was born and raised in Spain. I remember when the Catalan sports papers started talking about a guy running in the mountains and doing all sorts of challenging runs. After that, I started running in the mountains and I've never gone back to road. I find happiness and quietness there while I push my body to continue moving. Thanks Kilian!

Kilian ran a 14k mountain race in Norway today and won, it is called Bessegløpet and had 173 competitors for time and another 84 doing it just for fun. I believe he is running another local race next weekend. When he is talking about how elites can do local races and get good experiences, he walks the walks and puts a bib on to support local organisers.

"No one wants to get up at 4 and run when it's pitch-dark, but it has to be done. The only reason I do it so early is because I believe the other guy isn't doing it and that gives me a little edge." Mike Tyson Regarding pushing yourself to discomfort. I rather often find myself on my own att "odd" hours in the gym or on the local trails, but I don't do it to be able gain certain edge or advantage. I do it because it has to be done to reach my goal. On the start line i know I've been working hard and I'm ready to push through everything.
