Some garden centers sell live ladybugs. Last year I bought a couple containers, and just watched them move through the yard though and protected my snowball bushes

Great Video! The diatomaceous earth is an interesting option. I typically use a Neem oil solution with Castile soap as an emulsifier, does a great job on aphids, caterpillars, etc.

What would you suggest for snails?

Like one guy said with ladybugs. I told my family that if they find a lady bug, they need to bring it to the tree upfront of the house with the aphids on it. I am a pest applicator in Utah County, and I preferred to use nature for this method because i wanted to see how well it worked. My results were the ladybugs and their larvae ate alot. Plus, Utah Rose Society mentioned aphids were out of control this year, and that is what I have been seen on my days out spraying. Ladybugs work great if you have them but make sure the ants are killed off because they do protect aphids. And another great vid.

Oh I found my sprinkler was hitting the leaves of the tree. So it was weakening the tree. The sprinkler was hitting the tree because the ground was settling and it was leaning back. Fixed it.

I heard diatomaceous earth was amazing so I bought and sprayed it everywhere necessary in my yard but couldn’t tell any difference? I waited months and reapplied it was hard to spray because any slight breeze made it fly off in the air and not fall down even when I was right up on the bushes. Do you have a recommendation on how to spray it “wet”? I read water will halt the beneficial effects? Thoughts? (Also yard flies!! I have tried almost everything but an exterminator-can’t afford). I know you’re not a pest control channel but any advice is greatly appreciated! 😊 I live in Bay Area California

#5 Don't do anything and let the ladybugs and wasps take care of them. Remember you are going to kill pollinators also with some of the methods.

@@pestandlawnginja True I use Spinosad for sod webworms and fleas on the law. I use it just before it gets dark because it breaks down in sunlight
