For tournaments to be more interesting, I think having all players on screen and their chat broadcast would really help. Maybe possible by splitscreening with a discord channel where everyone is on video?

At the bare minimum, having a way to connect names to colors (and voices to colors in VC) would help immensely. Saying "oh player 1 is doing something interesting" doesn't mean anything to me when I don't know what color player1 is playing as. Sure, he introduces people in the beginning, but as soon as I forget that (usually instantly), using their name or voice means I'm confused.

I like the tournaments. It's neat watching the best face off against each other (if you don't get screwed over by noobs early on). My main gripe is that there seems to be an excessive amount of them, which kind of dilutes their excitement in my opinion. If you enjoy doing them, you could always do a few of the biggest ones. I'll watch either way, and thanks for all the content you put out! Tournament commentary would be an interesting idea too, if it's something that interests you.

The problem with any kind of universal minimum for human standards is that there will always be a percentage of lazy people who take and give nothing to society. The higher that percentage is, the more the rest of us have to work harder and give ourselves to support them.

I don't think it's a productive idea to connect a person's obligation to give to society with their right to exist. We do not choose to be born, so I don't necessarily think we are born with any inherent obligation. I know this is a tricky position to take since it goes against all of our intuition on how to run a society, but all of those intuitions are based on scarcity. If we could design a society of abundance from scratch, how would we go about doing that?

@ it seems that a society of abundance would require all needs met. However, many have their needs met, yet still decide to commit armed robbery, shoplifting, etc. Is this because their “wants” are not being met? So if we could meet both needs and wants, what then? Would people stop committing crimes? I tend to doubt that. I think we then have to address more of the social aspect of things, why people behave as they do, and if there should be consequences for behavior. ❤️

Don't judge your performance on the first time out every skill needs practice. I have seen semi-professional comedians with less on-stage presence. Maybe if you can weave a couple of one liners in to the rythym of the joke which was quite long on the way to the punch line.
