Not too much- a little bit for my own miniatures as hobby magnet challenge. But I hope that shooty ogryns will be pointless with all those halvlings because from overview of sprue I will manage to do only one. Beside, I'm big fun of Darktide ogryn with big truck door in one hand and slab of metal in other- so I hope, that it will be best pick :D

Surprise!!! I wasn’t expecting it until January. I have to wonder if the Ratlings get faction equipment called Apple Boxes that lets them count as 1” taller for determining visibility. The decks & tokens coming in the boxed set hopefully won’t inflate the price too much.

6:00 It's a healthy mentality if you don't want the extra stuff and don't want to sell it. I don't like the new Ork Boyz, for example, so I always calculate their value as zero when adding up a box's value.

They made plenty of the Hivestorm box. I’m wondering about this one. Might have to break my own rule and preorder.

I would expect them to have made fewer of these compared to the launch box, will they have made enough? Who knows.

FLGS still has copies of Hivestorm and at least one copy of the KT starter (new one with plague marines) but I’m not sure that’s anything to go by. There seems to be a lot of interest in the Tankbustas and, to a lesser extent, terrain from the 40k crowd. Some speculation on buffs to Ratlings as well, with the new Militarum codex on the horizon.

Honestly I think its because the sprue is awkwardly sized because it was originally sold in a big box, so it does not fit nicely on store shelves.

Oh boy that’s a lot of kill team all at once. I don’t know if I’ll pick up brutal and cunning, the teams don’t do much for me, might try to buy the terrain off someone though. I’m excited to see a lot of of these teams up for sale again as they’ve been tough for me to find. I’ll definitely pick up one or two. I’m with you on the cards. I don’t really see the point at the price.

I dont think Hivestorm is technically still "in print". I dont think it was supposed to be around at this point... There is a big problem with FOMO when there is actually no MO. Just look at the effect that the Dominion box set had on the previous edition AoS-starters.

so for me, it's not so much about spending extra money on stuff I don't want. I don't want it and so it just sits around taking up space. For some reason, things laying about taking up space bothers me. It's like extra mess, even if I neatly tuck it away. i could sell them, but you nailed it - it's extra work. It might be possible, from the channels with books, but it depends how instantly it sells out.

If there was a plastic Ogryn or two included with the Ratlings, I would be in on this box set. That and I want the terrain included in Brutal & Cunning. But as it sits, I'm going to give it a pass. I will give props to GW for including the decks this time around. That should be standard practice. As for the other KT releases, I may pick up a deck for Heirotek Circle, or maybe the Aquilons. The two teams I see myself playing a lot in the year ahead. Honestly, if GW published rules folios like they did for the teams in the starter box, I would be all over those!

Calling the two Striking Scorpion shrine bits full on miniatures is a bit much. Clearly the number of miniatures is calculated on what you can stick on a base! Madness. Titus is ugly. Preordering Brutal & Kunnin for myself this close to Christmas... urgh. That's cutting in to my cheese and wine budget!
