Hi Pia I know this comment is old but I'll try to explain my interpretation... I'm a native speaker but it's still a somewhat mysterious song so some people may disagree with my thoughts, but this is what I've always taken it to mean. The singer is in love with her friend Jenny who is also a singer/famous, they started hooking up after Jenny's sister died. Usually they turn the lights off when they have sex but during the song, the singer is asking Jenny not to turn the lights off this time so that they can look at each other, to make it more intimate. When she says, "It's gonna hit you when the lights go out, they don't even know your name," it seems to imply that Jenny is also hooking up with strangers on the side who turn the lights out when they have sex and don't even bother to learn Jenny's name. Jenny also seems to have a boyfriend who knows that the singer is in love with her, but it doesn't bother the boyfriend because he knows that Jenny is not in love with the singer, and Jenny doesn't consider it anything more than hooking up between them. When she says "I'm gonna be your suicide" I don't think she means it literally, more like *I'm going to be the end of you, this situation of unrequited love is going to destroy us*. "This isn't love it's not the same," it seems like the singer realizes that the one-sided affection is not a healthy relationship and can't continue. "It's like she said, 'Here comes the rain'" I take this to mean that Jenny has warned the singer that whatever is between them will never be a real relationship. There also seems to be some religious guilt, maybe Jenny doesn't want to see herself as bisexual or lesbian. But the singer will continue to take whatever Jenny is willing to give. "Are there pretty girls in Silver Lake? The kind that make a boy forget, there's nothing really to forget" Never was 100% sure how to interpret this but it seems like Jenny has been going to Silver Lake for her anonymous side-hookups (Silver Lake is an area in Los Angeles known for being LGBT friendly). The singer is basically asking if there are other girls just like Jenny in Silver Lake, girls who will hook up with each other on the side but still go back to their boyfriends and make the boyfriends forget that there's nothing between them at all.
