I saw Neil Popps set and it was garbage. Not because of his garbage, unfunny "jokes" but because of that giant unfounded ego on him. He really thought he was going to come in and take over the show and be funnier than everybody else. Delusions of that scale never works when trying to be funny and especially not when trying to win over a crowd. Also, a roast only works if you are actually funny.
