I propose this rule for the next Kill Your Babies. Basically Double Jeopardy. "When a game gets shielded, the person who axed it can never ax that shielded game again." So Ian could never ax Kingdom Hearts III once Kyle shielded it but someone else could have. That way it mixes things up, gives a bit more power to the shield and puts the onus on someone else to cut the game. Plus it avoids the repetition of the original cutter just cutting the same game again on the next go around.

I can't imagine how that would have went with how Kyle ended it "WELL, WELL, WELL. Look what we have... etc." He would have been forced to cut Sekiro while staring Jones directly in the eyes instead haha. Another hilarious outcome. Kindgom Hearts III would have survived much longer for sure. Either way I do like this format when there are more people around (3+) as opposed to when KYB's started out with only 2 people.

Well in that situation, strategically it would make sense for Ian (as a Sekiro lover) to cut Red Dead right before Kyle thereby giving Kyle an alternative, with Devil May Cry 5, to cutting Sekiro. Also with these rules Ian likely would have cut Red Dead first since Ben had already shielded DMC5 from him.

I think just the logistics of having the 9 together only happens on Group Stream night, so getting everyone together for only a half hour filming is not in the cards. Would’ve been hilarious though. Can’t wait for the studio!

Using the shield should prevent the same person from killing the same game ever again, otherwise it does nothing and just delay a turn. Ian did a dirty to Ben by attacking DMCV twice.

So glad you decided to add the graphics to this Ian. Makes it a lot easier to follow. I think the podcast could benefit from similar graphics. For example, during bets, I always loose track of what is being bet on.

Desire Index was fine the first time, and then 3-4 weeks later I was like “Jeeeeeeeesus Christ, let’s get going here!” I don’t hate it, the idea is fine, just doing it so many times in a row as the meat of an episode was too much.

It also makes re-listening to podcasts so tough, knowing how so many games ended up. Cyberpunk was in their top 5 and argued about for so long, and it turned out to be a turd of a game that was smoke and mirrors in 2018.

Ah no! Desire index was so fun guys! Some of the most tense, brutal, amazing, trolltastik, and confrontational moments in recent Allies History. Im totally taken off guard here. Are none of our babies safe? Just get rid of "Love-n-Respect" while you are at it?!? Anyway, i LOVE Ians assessment of Kingdom Hearts story as a whole! "That is NOT a story line." I just... i guess i don't understand. I always love a reasonably understandable story line, with complex sub-plots and story threads, but only beneath a linear yet elegant major plot. KH has always felt like an un-knitted ball of random yarn. It mite be fun to unravel it... but do i reeeeeeallly want toooooo. --_-- Love Ian for those proud few bitter allies still spiteful on that KH timeline. Tell Nadia & her precious LA times to jump down a green pipe, and go eat a poison mushroom. Just kidding, i do not condone the consumption of any poisonous mushrooms! (OR fireplants for that matter).

I enjoyed the Desire Index. My suggestion would be that each ally create their own list ranked 1-10. Then combine those lists for the overall desire index. Have an update following E3 and then one in December to hype up the following year. Would be really interested to see what Don would pick.

If you guys ever play this again, make a new rule that if someone ask for a game to be removed and gets shielded that person cannot try to cut that game again.. like Ian and Kyle did by picking the same game twice.. otherwise the shield becomes useless as once someone chooses a game we know that game is out anyway.. because even if it gets shielded, that person will eventually circle back for another try... But if they are the only one who wants that game out, the game could have been saved by the shield.

Definitely not surprised at the result given the panel, but a little sad at the positioning of some of the cuts. Babylon's Fall, a logo and a developer announcement, is still easily more desirable than Crackdown, Blops, and Forza, Elder Scrolls VI, Gears 5, Fallout 76, and Halo Infinite, all games that don't really need to exist, are part of super long franchises that haven't had much in the way of innovation, or have basically been annualized to death. Each of those franchises could end forever and I wouldn't even notice. Babylon's Fall is actually going to be something original. Maybe some sort of cool mobile game, who knows, but original nonetheless.

I always thought the Desire Index should rank the games individually, like Jones would put Red Dead 2 at a 100, while others would have it at 95 or 70. Or give each a letter grade based on desire. It wouldn't be quite as dramatic as what Kyle did with it, I suppose. Plus it would've been too similar to their review scores so now that I type it out it probably was a bad idea.

The desire index was actually a really good and fun segment, which I think should have stayed on the podcast (maybe once a quarter, instead of weekly). It's a lot easier to desire games coming out soon. I'm assuming the Nadia thing is a bit, because it makes no sense to kill off segments that your viewers enjoy based on one person's feelings. All in all this was a fun video, but it needed the full group. It was the full groups (sans Don/Ian) desires
