Over the past few years, I have made a point to get to Killarney in the Fall for some solo canoe trips. It seems any other time of year, is just far too busy, and almost impossible to book a campsite. On this adventure, I head to OSA lake, where I've scored one of the most sought out campsites in Killarney. I enjoy great weather, mirror water and an incredible sunrise. I see some wildlife, some I'd rather not have seen, have some surprises on my way out and eat a lot of delicious food. Overall, it was an awesome time, in a gorgeous place with no people. I'm grateful I was able to sneak in this canoe trip. Hope you enjoy the series.

Nice trip so far, same route I took in May so far, except I took long portage to OSA. Good to see the short one, as never saw it. I stayed on Site 61 you passed. In the morning paddled by your island site which was occupied 😃. So so pretty there, the views are spectacular, but your mirror was absolutely stunning!❤. What a memory.

I was one of the few staying in the park that weekend! We were in one of the cabins. We submitted The Crack at about 12:45pm on Friday. We must have just missed you (although I'm not sure we could have seen your canoe without binoculars 😂)!

That is so cool! I was definitely looking up there wondering if anyone could see me. I didn’t actually see any people but I believe the last time I was there I did. But it was summertime and much busier. Thanks for commenting Ashleigh. I hope you had an awesome adventure. Cheers

Hey Christina, a bit of a different comment for you. I really liked the way you edited this video! As a creator I fully understand the work and time consumed to produce outdoor videos, and yours are always appreciated. I noticed a couple of subtle changes while keeping the CamperChristina flavour we all love...one being your music overlay. In the back ground, nice and soft. Great touch! Keep up the awesomeness, and thanks for sharing your Dash!!! - Davey. You'll obviously notice I didn't wait to binge watch, and glad of it! LOL!!!

Wow wow wow!!! Breathtaking. Gosh, I wish I could take that exact trip. So beautiful. I take people's opinions of how much ww is on a river with a grain of salt too. All experiences and memories are different.

Hi Christina. I always enjoy your videos. I was wondering how much of a difference the canoe seat has may for you on your trips? Take care and safe travels.
@CamperChristina
@CamperChristina Жыл бұрын
Hi Anne. Thanks so much for the kind words and for checking out my videos. The seat has made a big difference for me. However, I have made a lot of changes in relation to the back and hip issues I was experiencing. I believe the combination of those changes has kept those issues from returning, thus far, but the seat has been awesome. It does weigh quite a bit. I believe it comes in at 3 1/2 pounds, but it does provide a lot of back support and has been very helpful, so for me it has been worth the extra weight. Cheers!

Beautiful footage!! Wow! Interesting how if you look at the land you can see that you're moving, but if you look at the water, you can't. I've never seen that before. Looks like the perfect trip to dawdle a little, how often do we get to do that in regular life?!

Ya, one wrong step. A simple slip to the side while on a slight incline. Did that 5 weeks ago. The worst part is the job/pay loss, the questions, the stares, immobility. I am not sure a walking stick is the answer either?

What map were you referencing as you paddled?
@CamperChristina
@CamperChristina Жыл бұрын
I just had a Jeff’s map on my phone in avenza that I was using while paddling. I had copies of the Killarney map with me, but didn’t bother with them as I wanted to just explore the area on my own without too much reference as this was a fairly simple trip for me. I hope you enjoyed the video? Cheers! 😊
