Only 12 minutes into the drama and this production is already through the roof. Superb acting, a very nice, decent musical backdrop, strong characters, nice sets and beautiful attire. Scenes pleasently free from overdrawn sequences.

Notice that all the comments are in English. Where are the Chinese viewers? I must agree with the acting and superb scenes. Really love the interior of Zhan's home with all that wood paneling. While the acting is great, I think the writer turned off many Chinese viewers with all that killing and bloodshed. Even the ending had to be revised.

Tbh i'm not THAT mad at China's censorship as i continue to watch all the dramas they adapt from BL novels. Since this allows the actors to convey the "love" from their actions and gazes instead. The love and longing that they would pour out of their eyes is impeccable. ✨ And the chemistry they would produce to make up for the censorship is really too good. ✌️

In all honesty same. I want kisses and hugs but I can’t describe in words how much the censored bls hit different. It’s like a different type of intimacy that is set in gazes and small actions throughout the show. They show genuine romance

I do not like censorship. I HATE it. But through the limitations, they've inadvertently made the romance stronger, somehow, because they're forced to be more creative. Oftentimes romances have to rely on very explicit actions to convey love, it becomes a crutch. I hope one day, if censorship is ever removed, a good balance of the two is created.

This drama was really an emotional rollercoaster for me Whoever started it I’d just recommend to keep going.. Their chemistry is great and the actors did a great job with the characters and I felt all their emotions . It only hit me halfway through this episode but the actor playing the police is really good???
