I’m concerned that because of criminals like Michael, people with true mental health problems will not be taken seriously by the criminal justice system. @@scorpion-lg4ic To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick and Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Rick and Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

My sympathies are almost always with children who are abused and poorly parented. If you have no father, and your stepfather beats and abuses you and bangs your head against the wall, and your mother does cocaine and is in and out of mental hospitals, what are your chances at having even a remotely normal life? I hope Michael Brown can somehow cobble together a life that works for him, and find peace and live constructively. His likability comes through in Dr. Grande's video.

Should a judicial system be so unbending that a likeable person killing their unlikeable tormentor would be treated as an equal to a torturer killing a innocent victim?
@joywagner979
@joywagner979 Ай бұрын
Was the perpetrator in this case "likeable"? Are all likeable people also good people? If we allow likeable people to get away with murder, do you think unlikable people will decide not to risk murdering people, or do you think they will argue at their murder trials that they should get away with it because likeability is very much a subjective quality? If your parent is as terrible as this person's, should we encourage their kids to murder them and then let it get away with it, or encourage them to stop talking to and interacting with the terrible parents while also receiving competent psychiatric therapy? This killer was an adult and was not being restrained by his parents. He did not need to kill them. This was not a justified homicide even if you "liked" the killer.
