Well done in a tackle eating spot buddy. Enjoyed the video as always. Wife and I have some frozen shad and skipjack, we're going in the morning, first time since my surgery several weeks ago. Keep them videos coming!

Great video 👍🏻 I figured you’d get at least one on the Walmart bait though. But with fresh shad near by I guess it’s no surprise they alway choose the hood meal lol

Merry Christmas to you and family. I also extend love and hope to all your viewers. Thank you for another wonderful show. Personally I have not had very good results with store bought baits except for a few exceptions. Chicken liver, chicken breast cut in chunks and shrimp. The liver and shrimp have caught lots of smaller eater size. But the chunks of chicken breast can be really good. Honestly if you can catch shad or perch or crawdads it's the best bait. If it swims in your local waters it's bait to the catfish. The truth is that this time of year is one of the very best times to go fishing. Especially here in the south if you can't take the heat like you once could. So bundle up and hit the lake. Take your kids and grandkids. Build memories and get them hooked on fishing.

I like your rods there. Good set ups. I’ve got a yellow 12 ft surf rod & looks much like yours but not as clean looking. Your set of rods is me all over when I set up on the beach. 👍🏻🐟🇦🇺

Just for fun, I got a pack of cut shad from the fishing aisle of walmart to see if my pet catfish would eat it. The two pieces I dropped into the tank have been untouched for 3 days so far... Not even the sunfish or crawfish touched it yet.
@JSOutdoorsАй бұрын
@@Trashalchemy I believe it lol I have found it laying on the ground beside the lake that other people have just dumped it out and none of the animals will eat it either

Love your setups!just found the meat hunter rods on ebay. 12ft long is awesome.is it more manageable than say 9 or 10? New at the catfishing craze,and thought 10 was good.but it looks like,for bankfishing,witch is what ill be doing mostly,12 ft looks like you can cast very far.also,is a 5000 or 6000 or bigger reel best with a rod so tall. Thanks for your video.subbed liked
@JSOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching I appreciate it and I think 10 foot would be more manageable but it’s all about how far you need to cast where you’re fishing and I would go with a 6000 or bigger your line also has a lot to do with your casting distance I use the heavy monofilament, so I probably don’t cast as far as someone using say a 60 pound test braid but I honestly can’t tell you whether braid or mono is better lol I’ve always used mono and I’m comfortable with it

What's the best way to hook the Killer Bee bait for the best results
@JSOutdoors5 ай бұрын
I don’t know how to get results with it. I’ve used it twice side-by-side with fresh shad and I catch fish on the fresh shad. I’ve never caught anything with the killer bee bait.
