Being a follower of Black Bottom Floats, I know very well what goes into the crafting of Andy's little works of art. One day I'd like to be able to splash out on some. I live right by Farnborough airport and have done for all 60 years of my life, and believe me, those jets you hear going over are hardly more than a semi loud belch in a beer garden these days. If it's loud jets you seek to avoid, steer well clear of the fishery up at Lakenheath. That place has a large, very active collection of USAF fighters active. I'm familiar with your location, and as such I know that planes rm Heathrow frequently fly over on the climb out, and that planes into Farnborough pass you by turning final for runway 24.Yeah, I'm a bit of a plane geek too... Just subbed up having seen several of your videos and find them very much inline with my pace of life. TTFN

Good tips on the mix with carnation milk. I will give it a try on one of my ground bait mixes. I had two early seasons, Tench myself last weekend, and my first big Golden Orfe. Tight lines 🎣✨️

Wow, not had an orfe in YEARS! Although I do have a few in the garden pond 😄 Thanks for watching and commenting - hope you enjoy my other vids.

Cheers fella. I do miss Derbyshire and would take the slightly cooler weather with the breathtaking scenery any day (if it weren’t for the job, wife, kids, house… LOL). I was up that way for Easter though. Look out for a new video on Saturday because I have just joined a new club down here and tried one of their waters for the first time last weekend - stunning scenery and a sack full of tench on the waggler 🎣 It’ll be another summer haunt I hope…

Hi,Enjoyed your video. It put me in the mood for fishing this weekend. I live in the west of ireland its a good bit colder here ,not had a tench yet. I fish a weedy lake and have switched to a pole for tench ive found it gives me more control and i feel i don't have to give the fish a lot of pressure to keep them from getting locked up in the weed. I had your book as a gift in january lts fantastic. All the best.

Thanks so much, Russell - for watching, commenting and the kind words about my book. Really chuffed you enjoyed it. Love the sound of the weedy tench lake. I like to fish pole too but store my match fishing gear up in Sheffield at my dad’s house (as you know, I still go up to fish with my boyhood club every summer!).

I add some pallets 2mm and 6mm as an extra. I also think adding the bread crumbs to make a ball, kills the attraction a bit. Try to get the mush into the spot. Than the real power of clouding will be used.
@themagicoffishing5 ай бұрын
I agree. Best cupped in by pole pot or used by hand right in the margins to benefit from maximum slop factor! But I was fishing a bit further out on that occasion. Guess you just have to try and get away with the bare minimum of crumb, but it does dry the mix up a bit 👍

Just found your channel and subscribed. Love this simple style of fishing and I use a pretty similar cloud mix for my tench fishing here in Germany! Only difference is some added crunchy oatmeal.😉

Hallo und Willkommen! Although I’m guessing you moved to Germany from elsewhere. Thanks for the sub and glad you like the content. Never tired oats… 🤔👍

@@themagicoffishing No, I'm german! 😀 But Fred Taylor, Jim Gibbinson and John Wilson had been a great inspiration for me! Guess I was one of the first germans fishing a swing tip in the 1970s!😉😂

i did that 10 years ago.. sweetcorn paste..with tin sweetcorn and it juices and hot water to cook couscous and then soaked in bread and mixed in the blitzed up sweetcore and it jusice and made a stiff paste but i put in a small bit of mild chilli powerder just for flavour.. did not catch much with it but it made a nice sweetcorn burger to fry up on the bank with a ice cold beer or two or three

Brilliant! 😂 Got me salivating just thinking about it 😋 And, on a serious note, couscous could be a very interesting bait to try. Might have to use that idea for a future video… Dirt cheap and quick to prepare, takes on flavour and could be potted in or fed close in - almost like wetted down micros!
@MrNeilb375 ай бұрын
@@themagicoffishing yep also what i do is chop up very small pieces of lunchon meat and small Peperami pieces and squeez them together to form a nice size ball shape and put in close in to the bank

Really enjoy your old style fishing videos. However, milk is a pollutant so maybe best to leave it out of the mix.
@themagicoffishing5 ай бұрын
Great to have you onboard.
@nicwestermann42065 ай бұрын
Any nutrients going into a waterway could be counted as a pollutant , milk is only seen as different as if a tanker spills it can flow into a waterway, if a lorry of pellets spilt you could just scoop it up, but if you dumped it all in it would have the same effect
Milk in the water supply is worse than raw sewage . I know this from my days working on a dairy farm
@jasonrenshaw90104 ай бұрын
If milk is a pollutant, why are milk proteins used in boilie / bait making i wonder? I think a small quantity of milk is nothing to worry about. Tight lines.
