Document everything, these Corporations and their Owners need to be held accountable, they don’t care about Life, they care about money and probably believe the Land will heal itself when it’s less populated. I fully believe Dr John O’Conner is 100% Correct in saying Industries are being protected, Governments, Federal and Provincial do not want to know the truth, I believe they do know the truth and our Government’s work for these Industries, not for the people.

It's going to come down to lawsuits (and I believe to criminal prosecutions, but that is only my claim). As Chief Adam said the land/water destruction and massive ongoing pollution has been in violation of treaty obligations, and there has been willful jeopardizing of human health and gross negligence (industry-government-regulator collusion). And the regulator has not done their job (the Alberta Energy Regulator) and has been involved in a cover up. Steven Donziger said much the same thing , but from the perspective of his own experience as a lawyer and defender of indigenous human rights in South America. Lawsuits against the heavy oil companies, and both the provincial/federal governments for not protecting public health or treaty obligations, and lawsuits against the AER. All are culpable.

@mauricefinn1320 The subject of this roundtable here is contamination of the water in the Athabasca River system and Athabasca Delta (by oil sands companies), it is NOT about climate change. ... that said: Every government on the planet, every major OIL COMPANY on the planet, and the vast majority of working scientists (who focus on the subject) have said that climate change is human caused and that it is happening. But you believe what you insist upon believing. The evidence goes the other way.

Every major OIL COMPANY on the planet, and the vast majority of working scientists (who focus on the subject) have said that climate change is HUMAN caused and that it is happening, ... it began decades ago (glacial retreat was the first real indicator) but it's origin was the start of the industrial revolution almost 200 years ago (internal combustion engines, and coal fire power plants). But you believe what you insist upon believing. The evidence has long been shown, in spades, to go the other way. And the computer models that have been created based upon mathematical projections of what global warming would make occur have easily been shown to be accurate, in fact conditions have gotten far WORSE than the models predicted (and faster).
