Usually,in every other book or movie, people with a past similar to Magnus turned to be the villains of the story. He had faced rejection, abandonment, hatred, racism...His own mother killed herself because she couldnt stand looking at him..And, despite all that, Magnus is the kindest and most generous soul. That alone shows the depth of his kindness, the magnanimity of his strength! In a world that has been so cruel to him he chose to be a self sacrificing, funny,positive figure. Thats why he is the best!

When I saw the title, I screamed and started to weep silently almost instantly. Harry really brought this character to life spectacularly. I cannot thank you enough for this, this is perfect. *standing ovation* You chose the songs perfectly. There's something really poetic about picking the song that was playing when everyone was remembering Clary, to the moment when Magnus told Clary about both his and her mothers. And knowing the circumstances later… really nice touch. I have also always liked the fact that despite the circumstances, Lydia and Magnus respected each other and Alec and saw each other as the great people they were. Lydia deserves so much respect as well, IMO. It's sad we never got to see more about the relationship between Jem and Magnus. (+ "Echo" broke my heart, especially in this context.) Seeing him getting his happy ending like this is so damn satisfying. So thank you, truly.

Who's greatest strength is his love and who's biggest fear is being alone. Who hides behind a mask of eccentrics to not let others see his pain. 10:00 I hadn’t realized Magnus/Valentine’s scream was so heartbreaking till now. Like he really was reliving that painful past inside of him, how his mother left him when he was only a little boy. He must have felt so alone back then. He’s lived through centuries, became wise and wealthy and is a grown man, but at the end of the day, is screaming for his mom. Yeah Maryse makes a really good replacement mom 😂 Her character development through out the season is just unexpected yet perfect and I’m so glad she finally recognises and accepts Alec’s sexuality, for who he is now but yet the same person. Just because he’s gay doesn’t mean everything is gonna change. He’s still a born leader, strong-willed and brave to fight for his friends and love. Like Magnus said, he would blow up the very ground he stands on, just to makes things right. I love Maryse, I wish she was my mom 😂❤️ she seems to be everyone’s mom in the show at this point
