When I saw the orange dress with the ruff around the sleeve hem I couldn't believe my eyes. That's the exact dress I made for my first (wearable) dress at the age of 14 in 1963. It was a Simplicity pattern and the fabric was a white and deep pink flower 1960's pattern. I loved that dress and wore it a lot. Please keep this going as a series. The sleeve for the jacket at the end is easy to do. You can make a similar sleeve head by making two pleats at the sleeve head instead of gathers or ease. You then custom make a pair of shallow shoulder pads in the same shape.

The killing eve pink dress I think was designed by Molly Goddard and it looks like the actress wears molly Goddard off screen too. Apparently Molly uses quite a lot of Tulle

This is a great idea for a series! About the blue blazer... Threads Magazine has an article on “how to draft a square sleeve cap” that can be of help for working this one out. I think the square cap is referred to as “Cardin sleeve” somewhere but I can’t find it, maybe only in Swedish. The shoulder of the original is very narrow also.

I love this series! Great idea :) I've been looking for a kimono-style wrap dress pattern similar to the velvet blue one Marianne wears in the show Normal People. I love how slouchy and slinky it is (most patterns i'vefound are more flowy and a-line) any suggestions?? :)
@christineb81483 жыл бұрын
Depending on how comfortable you are with altering a pattern (narrowing the skirt and widening the sleeves) I saw Vogue V9253 done very fitted through the waist and realized it was a more structured version of that type of dress with darts instead of gathering, giving it more of a slinky than slouchy look. Not perfect but I do love that look too so I might try to make it work.
