Notes that you missed: 1) Destroying her cannon armor (while leaving her head armor and shield intact) will NOT spawn EDARs and won't allow the special sprint animation. 2) She possesses no damage multiplier greater than x1 damage as far as damage vulnerability is concerned (x1 damage from bleeding, EMP, shells, and freeze) 3) Destroying both pieces of armor will destroy the shield regardless of its HP. 4) Firebugs are resistant to the Plasma cannon due to it doing fire damage. 5) The Tesla cannon and AOE attack WILL hurt EDARs as well (it WILL chain to them in case of the former even if it hit a player first and it will incur EMP affliction in both cases to the EDAR). 6) Reducing her HP to a certain level will destroy both pieces of armor even if neither has received any damage whatsoever. 7) Getting her down to a certain HP level will destroy the shield even if it didn't receive any damage. 8) HRG Heal Thrower damage has a mulitplier of 0.5x damage (direct damage only, as Toxic deals 0.05x damage) 9) Parrying is extremely effective since she as a Parry resistance of just 1 (For contrast: Hans, The Patriarch, The King Fleshpound, and the Abomination all have a Parry Resistance of 4). I find her to be a good meaty challenge, and a welcome change of pace

The problem with this boss is that her cannon is stupidly deathly Commit a single tiny mistake or get caught by milimeters from a corner and your health and armor dissapears I think she's not a good boss since the most effective way of fighting her is running around an ambulance/bus/crate... And that's not funny or entertaining at least in my opinion I think her laser needs a little nerf, or having a certain range, like the microwave gun

Hans is arguably harder because his behavior is more unpredictable. Sometimes he just charges at you to punch you when his shield goes up BEFORE the fleeing animation begins. Sometimes he throws smoke before throwing a second barrage of HE grenades and litters the map with a guess game between smoke or instant death... Still, Hans is the funniest boss to fight in my opinion, because of his voice lines, they are so good.

As a firebug main, this particular boss is very fun to deal with. > Plasma Cannon at Level 25 is not as bad as you think due to it doing mostly fire damage, not alpha damage. > Helios Rifle is microwave damage, so swapping to burst fire while a berserker goes to town drawing aggro is very fun, particularly if Zed Time is active.

I love playing on the DieSector level, especially against the Matriarch because I can just run around the first floor on either side (though I prefer the left when it comes to the bosses, especially her & her father), because we just go around a set of walls where she can't use her attacks unless I stand out in the open for too long.

I just think the matty is too durable considering both some of the hardest hitting attacks and best/second best adds (King FP being the contender) in the game, every boss should have approximately the same area if graphed into a triangle between durability, attack strength, and adds. That added durability also makes the fight either extremely stressful (too many edars) or dull since you circle strat the entire fight so it doesn't feel as good as some other bosses to execute. Personally I'd like a small nerf to matty and a slight buff to patty and hanz to bring every boss more into line.

Other attacks of Matriarch are not really that difficult to dodge. But the warning siren can kill you in less than a second, even with full health. That is just way too OP lol

I like to kite and avoid plasma cannon while focusing all fire on that plasma cannon until her tentacle is revealed. Once that happens blast the hell out of her and kite her around some more until she is dead. Without the plasma cannon she really is a very easy boss imo. I find KFP and Hans much harder once you get them into the red just due to sheer burst damage. Great video and useful infographics too.

One other thing, she has a x1.0 damage modifier on hemoglobin dart damage, and she do fets affected by the debuff they cause (weakens damage resistance, increases vulnerability to other aflictions such as freeze, slows her speed), so a medic with one can stack some basic damage and help the team in damaging her

i use a custom command (for quick-turn, bash&use, etc.) and now a "say" cummand for reminder to all. "Destroy on her left hand = BEAM thing. Because it is weak spot same as head. Don't HS, it make her call EDARs sooner".

Here's a good strategy: melee zerker can circle matriarch quite successfully and she cannot aim her plasma behind her back. The only thing you struggle is her melee damage so prepare to parry a lot (also dont forget about aoe blasts). It works only in multiplayer matches 'cause requires a higher than average medic to keep you alive. Weapon i mostly use is zweihander+2 but for some people bonecrusher will be a better solution.

If you can, try to get her to take left turns to follow you around objects. Her attacks will trigger when she sees you, but she'll be much more likely to hit the object than you.

Her blue laser which chains between targets is way OP. I play suicidal with random teams most of the time and idk why, but i find more noobs in suicidal than on hard difficulty. I try my best to run around the corner but then theres my braindead teammates that run right out and because of that she takes off 50% of my health and armor before we've even got 10% of her health down. Like you can try your best to ring around the rose with her so to speak but you die cause of your teammates since her blue laser chains through you. She is clearly op. And honestly shes lame as shit. I wish tripwire couldve been a little more creative as shes literally just a much harder version of the patriarch.

I use rhe railgun on hans. Headshots with fast reload as sharpshooter or survivalist. Gunslinger is great too.

she is fuckin op, and a mashup of all the other bossess best feats, she has no flaw, she is utterly broken, while the other bosses have a clear weak point, she doesnt reveal that weak point until the point were at least 2 or 3 teammates died because she deletes anyone, not only that, she spamms E.D.A.R.s FUCKIN E.D.A.R.! PE: Also, she can snipe you from across the map, seriously, her reach and accuracy with that stupid dumb weapon is just so busted.

Matriarch is basically Warhammer 40k dreadnought ripoff, they ripped off so hard that you can simply use heavy melee(power fists or pulverizer) + one fully upgraded strong pistol (ripped off 40k lieutenant loadout) to easily break her off (y)
