BEST METHOD for killing a skrake 1. Damage just enough to enrage 2. Forget about the skrake. It’ll probably tire itself out, or maybe your team mates will deal with it, whatever. It’s not your problem, you gotta go grab that ammo pickup and get closer to the pod for next round.

Problem I have with the lore is that the chainsaw literally is the worst thing to use as a way to preform amputations. The reason why is that it would not work is that pulverizes the flesh around the cut, leading to a uneven cut, causing unnecessary bleeding and making it impossible to heal. Also because it can jam in enough vicera, negating the advantages it might give in force, which may be unnecessary considering the scrake is buff.

Fella is right here. Unless the chainsaw is extremely sharp, gutting plentiful enough and it will jam eventually. That's one of the many reasons it's a poor weapon of the choice in the zombie apocalypse, no matter how cool is it. Scrake probably won't care, though! 😝

Honestly scrakes are a piece of cake, go down fast to headshots. It is the stupid players that make them a threat by enraging them with the wrong weapons, enraging multiple scrakes or doing so when a fleshpound is present. Whenever you happen to run by a scrake and it is not enraged but attacks you, you can use melee punch to cancel its attacks. Life saving tip.

Scrakes are only really a problem if you get backed up into a corner, or they get accidentally raged by a demo or firebug.

In kf 1 i had one unpleasant situation , and i mean very unpleasant so i was in one spot and while i tried to take on Scrake in 1v1 i had fleshpound attack me from behind , i got chainsaw fisted and pounded to death by them and i played as medic .

I feel like it's important to note that the scrake is easily stumbled by gun bash melee attacks. I've gotten out of a lot of sticky situations by just panic-slapping him with my guns.

Do not encourage medics to spam Scrakes with the hemoglobin, this causes stumble/flinch animations that only makes headshotting them more difficult for any of the listed effective takedowns. SPX was not listed again for either sharp or GS, another grievous oversight. =/

According to notifications, your initial response read "Tiger Plays the SPX isn't a good weapon stacked up against the mk14 rail gun or 500s/Deags in high level play or for general utility imho. I've never used it and have never had issues..." unfortunately you're talking to a high-level player about high level play- and you're terribly mistaken. I'll go ahead and point out that I'm a CD player, and probably one of the best sharps/slingers in the game on PC- definitely within the top 1%, though certainly Kore is better at EBR Sharp than I am and Erik is probably still a better slinger(along with maybe a few others). While you can visit Kore or Fat Cat's channels, or Mike_5879 or Erik1337(harlock1337)'s twitch If you'd like to see high level play for yourself, if you'd like to experience high level play you're welcome to join me for CD on DTF_v1 with 12 faked, 64+ max monsters, cohortsize 4, spawnpoll 1, and spawnmod 0. Where I'd be happy to demonstrate that the SPX is not only viable but very useful at 'high level play'. otherwise, if we're talking vanilla settings, on 6p HoE the SPX is the only gunslinger weapon that will allow you to takedown multiple QP or SC without having to reload or lineup your targets to take full advantage of penetration. On GS It offers 30 more base damage than the 500's with considerably less recoil, 1-shots mid-tier trash with a sufficient ReU stack, takes 5 headshots to kill an SC or QP and 8 to kill an FP beating out even the 500's in shots to kill. On Sharp it'll beat out the m14 on 6p HoE in both TTK and shots to kill on not only SC and QP at 4 shots (as opposed to ~10), but FP as well at a mere 6-7 shots (as opposed to ~20) The SPX's drawback for sharp (that isn't bad on slinger given zed time reload) is it's reload speed. Typically on 6p HoE a good EBR sharp will use the EBR to provide good trash control while utilizing the SPX for large zed takedowns. This is something I've already explained to you previously on the KF2 subreddit. By the way on long(10 wave) games SC can spawn as early as wave 3 not wave 2.

In testing on Solo Hard games a Scrake will die from 1 or 2 quick full salvo/s of the Hemoglobin (without the bleed Skill). I don't play online much due to griefing players, instant player kicks and really dumb players (Level 0 on HoE, are you serious?!), but as a Medic, I know what I can and can't shoot. While playing Demo, it should be noted that it's best to stun the Scrake with a TNT stick before going for the kill (this can only be done if he is passive and should only be done if you have teammates to focus him down with you).

Just pitching in as a FB main,but Dual Spitfires with the left side of the tree can kill a scrake in 2(sort of)mags to the head. Not efficient in any way,but it is good to know if your big zed killers are busy or dead.

I just use the berserker class with the shock fist weapon, i always play on hard or higher difficulty and i rarely purchase armor in lower waves because the berserker is durable enough, in wave 9 i was fighting 2 scrakes alone and there's something just so satisfying about literally punching and mingle their faces, in fact i was fighting 2 scrakes alone in the middle of the wave and the end of the wave while the rest were busy with other zed so i had plenty of satisfaction- and run away moments lol

I don't use rack em up as GS since I prefer to have a faster reload when holding two pistols. Both dual deagles and magnums are already good enough to take them down. Just back up and aim for the head.

Good guide on taking down Scrakes by far, and I see the classic headshots from the Sharpshooter still runs well(taking down Scrakes as a Sharpshooter back in KF1 is a part of the duty when the Berserkers is absent to deal with it, usually in the form of a powerful Barrett M99 anti-material rifle. In KF2, it's Railgun instead). I have only tried it on Normal to Hard difficulty, but what about multiple C4s stuck onto his body? How many it would actually need to blow him up to pieces on higher difficulty(just a test run, though, since actual gameplay would use quite a lot of C4s, and you can only hold so much in hands, even as a Demolitionist)?

Don't bother with C4, it reduces its damage output each time you use it in a row. It would take almost all of your c4 before you kill the sc with it. RPG only needs 1 or 2 headshots, depending on your demo skill tree

You used the M99 in KF1? I thought crossbow was the best option...? If one is lucky enough to no-scope a Scrake with a headshot or if there are no zeds to pull you out of scope for the shot, you can easily get a one hit K.O. before he charges. Fleshpounds can go down with 2-3 headshots in normal and hard as long as you keep your distance and you have good aim or good teammates to pick things up if you fumble. I'm not sure about Suicidal and Hell On Earth though...I haven't been brave enough to get there yet. Maybe that's what you were referring to with the M99? I don't know how well it handles, since I've yet to try it. Also, I guess it doesn't help that I'm a level 6 sharpshooter...my argument may not be valid. Please correct me if anything I've said is wrong.

sadisticScribe I have handled both the Crossbow and the M99, and by personal experience, the M99 is easier to handle than the Crossbow, plus more powerful and usually almost guaranteed one-shot kill(haven't gone very far, though, since KF1 have too much level grinding, unlike KF2 which is a lot easier). It's a heavy rifle, though, taking almost all of your inventory space(or weight), though Sharpshooter fortunately have a good amount of headshot damage(even the M9 pistol is more than enough to kill the trash Zeds). The ammunition for it is costly, though(from the last time I played), so they're usually best reserved for the big Zeds. The Railgun's handling should be more or less the same, albeit light enough to let you carry the Winchester rifle.

I just bought the game 3 days ago and I love playing it. I decided to level up Firebug after trying a few classes and on hard and normal the trench gun and microwave gun seem to do ok at killing Scrakes but you're telling me at higher difficulties I'll be stuck mainly dealing with the small enemies when Scrakes spawn?

As the firebug, yep you will be stuck with dealing damage only to trash and on Suicidal or HoE, even that is sometimes ill-advised as scrakes spawn within a horde of trash and if as the firebug you try to clear the trash, you may accidentally rage it with your ground fire (napalm rage). Maybe this is why almost no-one prefers Firebug on higher difficulties as in the later waves, you may be just standing around doing pretty much nothing and if you do, you make matters worse for your team. RIP cooking zeds to a crisp.

btw firebug can kill scrakes so well if u use the right skills with microwave gun " heat wave + ground fire" or alt fire mode i play 90% of my games as a medic and using left side skills all time " the healer medic" and i can kill scrakes with 1.5 mags of my shotty to the head as a demo use direct hit skill and do non explosive hit to the head when close or aim to the head an explosive shot that kills too the guide is good and nice effort from u great for newcommer zed killers

I have to disagree with the commando on the scrake specifically, as they are generally still useless against flesh pounds. Using the AK in burst mode while crouched allows for extremely low recoil and high burst damage on its head, and using the stumble perk you can also allows you to knock them back for some distancing if you didn't finish them off with the magazine for whatever reason, allowing for a comfortable reload. This tactic doesn't apply to the AK specifically, as the Scar and the medic rifle are also quite potent, but I prefer the AK for it's higher rate of fire and more predictable recoil while in burst fire.

Ive found the best, and probably the only, way to deal with a group of scrakes, is to divide and conquer. Get one to rage, so you seperate him. Then hes alot easier to deal with. Beserker is the best class for this imo

SWAT is designed to kill scrakes.....throw a flash bang, and just dump 1 mag in the head from a "moderately" strong machinegun.....I just aim for the upper chest, sometimes aiming for the head just makes your bullets go "over" them. I've also noticed scrake almost NEVER comes after me when I'm SWAT.....maybe it's a mechanic, or maybe I've just learned to stay back the right distance, lol.

GitGudTV same here except I mainly use medic and all I really need is either the medic shotgun or the assault rifle. Pair that up with the the level 25 Zed time poison damage and they're pretty easy to bring down with a medic, with all players directing their fire towards a scrake it only takes a few seconds to take them down. Same with bosses. The biggest mistake is letting the big Zed killers get boxed in or chased by an enraged scrake or boss. Teamwork is all it really takes. A medic can help kill the trash zeds while still healing the team. Biggest mistake players make is either splitting or focusing on one task when any character can deal good damage as long as you're working with the team.

JessNW0lfG4NG i usually pair myself with a fellow fire bug or bezerker when it comes to the harder difficult levels. a good sharpshooter can kill scrakes easy as if they are lvl 25 and have the bonus dmg stacks on the scrake while hes frozen by the cryogrenades Can reduce his health dramatically without the need of ally help. Swat is decent too, but only if you have higher tier weapons with a large ammo capacity. I find alot of people die when in the middle of reloading when fighting suicidal level scrakes so if youre low on ammo its better to tuck tail and run rather than advancing on them.

Try to land as many headshots as you can before it rages. Once the scrake is raged, his attacks become unpredictable and following its head becomes trickier. This is why most perks like Gunslinger or sharp try to "kill" the scrake before it goes into a rage.

True, Scrakes is the only Zeds I know that actually have real resistance against certain weapons. Fleshpounds is pure damage sponge, though, being able to take so much damage(explosive weapons is extremely good against it, though) before going down.

While I do not deny the usefulness of this guide in dealing with Scrakes, I'd like to provide additional information by showing you the channel Psych0Gamers - kzbin.info The user Fat Cat periodically does HoE lvl 0 perk challenges successfully, which proves that in contrast to what you have stated a Scrake CAN be killed by a single alt-fire of the Boomstick from a lvl 25 support to the head at point blank range in a single man situation (proof: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2K6kp6gabKflZI at 31:12)

I've soloed Hell on Earth as medic in KF2. That's some damn bullshit. One, the fully upgraded medic pistol does more damage than the fully upgraded rifle. 1 clip in the pistol is 23 shots, you get 263 bullets when you're full on ammo. It takes 13-23 headshots with the fully upgraded medic pistol to decap a scrake depending on the team size. That's one magazine. Not to mention that as medic, you can eat damage like it's nothing and outheal most of their attacks if you're standing in one of your grenades. Because medics are a tank class, go figure. Scrakes might be resistant to poison but they're even MORE resistant to explosives. Do NOT throw grenades at a scrake or use your m79 or rpg on him at long range. I'm sick of demos ruining entire games for us just because they think they're helping but have no idea what they're doing. RPG is an overrated weapon for demos anyway. It weighs too much and doesn't have enough ammo, not to mention that if you somehow manage to get a shot to explode near you, you'll lose a third of your armor. Fully upgraded m79 is my choice. KF1 taught me never to trust "gimmick" weapons because you'll run out of ammo real quick or die using them.

I take on scrakes as a medic on suicidal. Takes 1 mag with medic assault rifle. I purposely take them on cause as a medic I can heal faster and run faster than most other perks. .... I'm on PS4

Usually that's a poor choice for a Medic since he is supposed to be healing/buffing the other squad mates and help them survive. Now if the team is exceptionally good and not taking any chip damage at all or if it is the lone scrake at the end of the wave, then it might be a good idea to indulge in extra-curricular takedown. But otherwise, stick to healing. Just my opinion. :)

i love your vids but the scrake and fleshpound are a lot less tough than you make them sound my field medic can own them with about 3 to 4 players on suicidal again love your vids keep it up

Good that this video doesn't age well, FB is probably among the top classes to kill scrakes, stumble, bash, a shotgun shot will stagger again irrelevant of cooldown, ground fire melts, the husk cannon also staggers every 5th(or so, depending how fast you shoot) shot, a single zed time with a 25 FB kills multiple fleshpounds and scrakes in a full HOE lobby with just dual Spitfires. Class is out of this world in 2020

Firebug is one of the best for scrakes ONLY if you have the microwave gun. Just keep spamming alt fire when it gets close while your team unloads on him and make sure the scrake or other bug zed is right in front of you so you don't waste ammo. This sometimes works for fleshpounds but most of the time when the team see's one they run away... Unless your playing with beast players. Other than that nice vid

Primitive Pestilence I disagree. The requirements to safely kill Scrake or any large zed for firebug is : 1. Lvl 20, to get heat wave 2. MWG 3. Spitfires or Trench gun Compare that to other class: GS only need the dual revolver Sharpie need the railgun or freeze + spx/m14 combo Eviscerator for Zerk Firebug should deal with large zed only when the situation required you to do so. Until then, just kill the trash.

Muhammad Nazrin Unfortunately most firebug are potatoes and would light everything on fire, rage all the large zeds so they kill eveyone.
