Love the videos but you gotta cut some of these resorts some slack. When killington gets a 66 you know something’s wrong with the system. Cmon, you’ve ridden most of the best ski resorts in America and nothing has gotten above a C minus?
@jthyne23 жыл бұрын
I’m guessing you really didn’t explore the mountain if you rated it that low…that’s ok, never heard of you and found your opinion way off base. Since I feel you got this wrong, there’s no need to watch any other video you may have made since that is probably wrong too.

Places to eat: Sushi Yoshi off mountain, Jamaican Jerk shack on mountain, Waffle Huts on the mountain are a must. Nightlife: Pickle Barrel night club, there are quite a few pubs/taverns on and off mountain. Lodging: One large ski in and out resort, also ski in and out condos, rental properties and a ton of places to stay on the road leading to the resort. Anything below the resort and condos is not ski in ski out. Some rental properties are an exception. Going this season and totally stoked.

Some of your rating criteria may need a little adjustment. On the "ease of access", no one is flying to Killington. Its a drive to resort. If you are flying no one would fly to Killington, you would fly out west. So if you are going to Killington it's cause you want to go to a relatively big mountain but don't want the hassle of flying. If you are driving from NYC or Boston its pretty good for its size.

4 on easy of access is criminal. The resort is an easy 4 hour drive from three of the largest metro areas on the continent (NYC, Montreal and Boston). It’s quite possibly the MOST accessible major ski resort on the continent.
@Dluiogbre3 жыл бұрын
He’s coming from CO where you can fly in and take a shuttle for an hour directly to a resort, surrounded by other resorts. So the 4 hour trip that you need to plan yourself would kind of make it a lower score, naturally.
@pacodefrancis72353 жыл бұрын
@@Dluiogbre it’s within a 4 hr drive of 45+ million people... the entire state of Colorado has what, 6 million people? And LOL going over Loveland pass from Denver is NOT an hour anytime of the year, ESPECIALLY in the winter. On a powder day you’d be lucky to get to winter park in four hours from Denver.
@Dluiogbre3 жыл бұрын
@@pacodefrancis7235 my bad, I’ve only been to CO once and stayed at an airbnb with a friend from the area. I got lucky with a 1.5 hour drive from Denver area to just outside Abasin (was a Friday morning), so I should take my luck into account. I’m on the east coast though and can see that it’s amazing for us to access... But that’s just it. People traveling from outside the coast is a rough travel. Involves flying, renting cars, driving 2 + hours. He gave it an almost average score, which is fair with his other rankings. An ideal 10 place is something like Park City where (I believe) it’s right next to the airport. Or the high score he gave Big Snow for being near a large city, with transportation going to and from it, and 20 minutes from an airport. So in comparison to areas like that… if killington warrants a higher score, how can you rank those in the same category? If you were from out of the area and wanted to visit Killington, it’s more than a hop and a skip away. I guess on the flip side, you have a point on that it is “Ease if access” and not “Amount if time needed to get there”.
@pacodefrancis72353 жыл бұрын
@@Dluiogbre there’s some truth there yes. Park city is not too close to the airport, but Alta and Snowbird are very close to SLC. But because they’re so close to both a fast growing city and a large airport they also attract huge crowds, especially when the conditions are good. To a degree it’s a pick-your-poison. Personally I’d rather be driving 3 hrs on an open road than stuck in a traffic jam for 3hrs in the canyon leading up to Alta/Snowbird.
