i just purchased a 4070/2700kv cm for my hypervt and a 4050/3200kv cm for my typhon. TP power is unmatched! running 4s and a mamba X in the hypervt its hitting 110mph easily. the typhon is in the build mode

I run 2.02. Other guys run 1.78. It depends on what you want in your esc

Hey buddy I know you're the best that does this and I need some advice on building my Limitless right now and I have the motor your talking about right now now the 2900 KV xspec kill mode TP power 4070 and I'm using it with the castle xlx 2 and I need to know which capacitors to use or just exactly what to buy as far as flow packs or whatever. Thanks for everything you do man you've been an inspiration to me in the hobby

The xlx2 doesn't need any capacitors. It's far more efficient enough as it is! Cap packs are for inefficient escs such as the XLX1. I never will run a cap on my xlx2 escs

That motor is rated at max of 6s, I wouldn't recommend 8s it'll draw way too many amps. Solder big 8mm bullets and you'll be fine on 6s!

Check solder connections on bullets. Also depends on your setup and how you run it. Bullets must be 8mm as well. If it's both escs it may be routing the problem to the motor itself. People had problems even with Cordova motors and blew 3 xlx up, being it was a bad motor. There is always that chance it may be a bad batch...

Would the 2900kv make a good track race car as well (of course it will make good speed runs)? I'm worried about to much heat during a good bash race on the track.

I wouldn't. The 2900kv is meant for all out speed, to bash you want a kv ballpark 1800-2200kv. 2900kv is way too much rpm

Higher the Kv, the more rpm per volt you'll get, but you'll have more amp draw and heat

If you order a 4070CM from TP,, you can get it with what ever KV you want. Just put it in the comments when placing your order. I have a few 4070CM motors, including a 1650, a 2500 and a high KV 2D version. It's around 4000 kv for 4S use.

Being that talion has a lower differential gear ratio than typhon, I run the 2900kv motor but a couple teeth lower than what my typhon's pinion runs

@@InnovationRC it might be powerful as that one .I got a 380 motor from them for 19$ and put like a pinion gear half of the diameter of the Motor and it could push my senton 4x4 22mph and it uses a 12t 550 and it made my RC buggy go 40mph then I got a regular motor 540 3000kv and my rc buggy went 60mph and I recked it like destroyed it went I went into the back of a car and the 380 motor could handle 4s and pushed 2 NIMH batteries in the buggy but I'm gonna put it into my brothers RC buggy now because his only goes 13mph

@@AB-80X cheap and expensive motors don't have that much of a power difference they just have a higher rpm and and last way longer and emit less heat and they parts are way more precisely balanced.

@@xxzenonionnex7658 Test a Cheapo Leo 4092 and a TP 4060 against each other in the same rig. Trust me, they are even close. The 40-50 bucks motor might perform close to a Leo or SSS in terms of power but with less reliability, but they are not as powerful as the TP. A TP 3650 make as much power as a SSS 4092 and more than a Leo of that size.

I am unsure to be honest. The diameter is 40mm which isn't that big, it's like your standard 8th scale, but length is 107mm like 4 inches long. Which is insanely long. Depending on how your motor mount is setup, it's possible.

Your MT 4x4 will not handle the 4070CM. It will strip gears and break stuff quickly. That plastic spur will be gone in minutes. The TP 3650 is about all it will handle for anything but onroad speedruns.
