Classic 90’s melodeath sound. 🤘 Today it’s all about as little gain as possible, close to no bottom-end and too much mids.

I'm not sure, mate... Lamb od God's tone is actually fucking sick! Another example would be All Shall Perish's guitar tone in The price of existence album...

@@adambomb138 I used to say the same thing because I have big hands too. But Adams showed me you can make it work lol. He makes it work and it doesn’t look uncomfortable.

I have heard and played quite a bit of metal guitar in my day.. but these guys.. they have such a unique sound.. it’s so deep and heavy but yet they put it all together in such a way that is rather melodic and actually beautiful... love their guitar playing.. the musics always pretty kick ass..

I am 30 years old and have been playing over a decade and like to believe I can tear it up myself, and I swear I have never watched a guitar video as many times as this one.. something about these 2 dudes riffing together is beautiful really.. its so heavy and deep, low, but virtually anything they have ever put together just has this melody to it.. they harmonize one another brilliantly and it just sounds,...... too damn good.. I’m off for my mission of learning everything they have ever put out.. but it’ll never be that same by yourself.. for sure..lol.. only these 2?guys can do this melodic metal they have going on so diversely. Hope they do it till their hands won’t let them anymore.

back when metalcore had actual riffs instead of constant breakdowns and djenting. Very few newer bands actually "riff" anymore.
@tylersmith28495 жыл бұрын
So true. Lately when I hear new bands I'm immediately bored. It's all the same djent bullshit. I miss the old school metalcore riffs with melody.
@The_JustJoshing3 жыл бұрын
Same. Old school metalcore and deathcore are the best
@charlespockert89483 жыл бұрын
yep, back when metalcore was actually listenable. Just every kid gets on the scene now and goes "I can 0101010100011011101" and that's a new song... great. Then you have some bands actually trying to be creative like The Arusha Accord or Plini, or even Polyphia etc... I guess metalcore these days is metal for the masses, it's the metal equivalent of pop.

One of my all favorite tracks from Killswitch. Aggressive, heavy, and just over all great song. The opening track from for Alive or Just Breathing like what an awesome start. Followed by Self Revolution then it just gets better through all the whole album. But this track is one of my favorites off of the album.

I remember hearing this demo before the album came out and knew that music was about to change for the better AOJB is one of my favorite albums of all time and their riffs are so good that I had to learn them to rethink my songwriting structure! I sent my demo to Roadrunner and they liked it! Nothing ever happened cause of the band breaking up. But I shit you not that I had heard some of my riffs on later albums from roadrunner by different artists it’s just crazy!!!
