The fact that Jesse and Howard are genuinely friends helps facilitate a lot of this stuff. There is no ego involved, and it’s great to see Jesse cede the stage to Howard for a few songs. It’s fun and nostalgic for us as well as Howard and the band!!!

I mean it's true. When Jesse left originally it was for his own personal reasons and he never held it against his bandmates. He did what he had to do for his own mental health. Howard did the same thing plus diabetes which is NOT good for touring as much as Killswitch does. The two are from relatively similar areas and have been friends since Jesse was first in the band and Howard still hsd Blood Has Been Shed. It seems like they've taken care of each other and the whole band has immense modesty and empathy. It also helps that Jesse and Howard sound pretty similar so the changeover didn't freak people out too much but that's obviously not as important as their being there for each other for years.
@newpairofboots2 жыл бұрын
@@neighborhoodmusicsnob5517 Great comment. It does really seem like they both respect each other a lot and both have tried to do what's best for the band. I can't say I agree that they sound similar though. I think they sound pretty different. Each of them did/does great with KSE though, there's no doubting that.
@manifestgtr Жыл бұрын
In the very beginning, there was a little bit. Alive was such a perfect “metalcore” album and fans wanted more of that SO BADLY…but it dissipated pretty quickly after this album’s release. Fans of Blood Has Been Shed knew Howard was gonna be great in KSE and this album helped cement that feeling, even though people still missed Jesse.

@@WoodysPickle the thing about MRH is (i'm going to be reffering to the old mushroomhead with Jeff and JMann) one vocalist does all the cleans and the other does all the fry shit, the problem with KSE is both vocalists have really good cleans and fry screams that it would be unfair to just assign one role for both of them. But having both of them do the same thing, i'm sorry but Howard simply overpowers Jesse, and that can't run. I mean imagine if Jeff and JMann did the same thing, you just can't.
