Whomever they get to replace him, no matter how talented they may be, will always be compared to him. Case in point: look and William Duvall and Layne Staley in Alice in Chains. People have talked about a greater variety in the themes in the songs (although that could be because the core of the band is in their mid-50s and has experienced more stuff as opposed to when they 1st started) and how the harmony between the two vocalists that AIC is so well known for is still there, but Duvall cannot match Staley's charisma and vocal power.

If you ever get a hint that someone might be truly depressed (and you will notice one way or another, not going outside anymore, stuck in bed, feeling sick for weeks without the usual symptoms, for example coughing etc.) go out of your way to see that person. If you care about him/her you must insist to see them and stand by their side. It's the small things that make the worlds difference here.

Couldn't agree more. All KSE is great but I am definitely more of a fan of the "Howard Era" of KSE. I am a fan of Jesse and enjoy what he is doing but my true fandom started with Howard's era and whenever you think of them he is always the first to come to mind.
