@@cashprinter5000 That may be so, but Chester was the vocalist for 20 years or more, so when people think of Linkin Park, they think of him as the frontman. Whomever they get to replace him, no matter how talented they may be, will always be compared to him. Case in point: look and William Duvall and Layne Staley in Alice in Chains. People have talked about a greater variety in the themes in the songs (although that could be because the core of the band is in their mid-50s and has experienced more stuff as opposed to when they 1st started) and how the harmony between the two vocalists that AIC is so well known for is still there, but Duvall cannot match Staley's charisma and vocal power.

It evokes memories of Chester because the vocal stylings and timbre are similar and because we all associate this song with Chester. That's all anyone meant. No one is trying to say it's an exact soundalike. Y'all need to get out of here with your "Um, actually" shit. This is why all of your friends talk shit about you behind your back.

A little late to the party. Killswitch is my favorite band so I'm not sure how it took me this long to find your cover. You really nailed Howard's vocal style and it sounds like "As daylight dies" era KSE. I hope to hear more songs in this style!!
