C Drought absolutly! Life can be difficult, and it throws up brick walls all over the place. But no-one need to be kept down, to be kept trapped! There is help out there - seek out the help of friends, of family, of psychologists, and of supportive internet communities. Together, we can make mental illness something of a minor inconvinience, than a risk to life!

+Facundo Oblivion im not saying that "nu metal sucks". im a huge fan from nu metal , but the " old heros" are changing a lot. slipknot , deftones , and disturbed are not nu metal since 2005 ( aprox) , system of a down =hiatus , mudvayne =hiatus, chimaira = one nu metal album and now they are gone. an interesting rap metal proyect ( and really "authentic") is hacktivist..they sound like a rap version of meshuggah.

@DM725139 жыл бұрын
+Robbie Crane Trivium is at their best when they share the screaming vocals. Shogun (their best album IMO) introduced the brutal vocals of Corey on album. When you see them live, they perform songs from every album flawlessly. Down from the Sky has both Matt and Corey screaming back and forth and its amazing. Trivium didn't puss out but they made a hug mistake with this most recent album, much like The Crusade was definitely a momentum killer after Ascendancy.

for all the fucks who are arguing about whether change in music is a good or bad thing, there is one important detail you are missing out on. Real fans don't listen to a band because of their name, they listen to them because of how they sound. When Howard came to KSE, I quit listening to them because I did not like their new sound. not all of it was bad but I did not listen to them for a long time. Alive or Just Breathing is a perfect album and the way KSE sounded when they were at their best. Jesse IS the life and blood of KSE and no matter what these people say, that'll never change that simple fact.

I have only really listened to Howard's stuff. That's gonna change now. This guy sounds a lot better in my opinion

+Justin Dittburner I think Howard was good with KsE, but if you want to hear more of him, there's Devil You Know, his new band. I think it's worse than KsE, and it's not very energetic and Howard is not as enthusiastic as Jesse, but you may find it good.
@Kyuubiboy3219 жыл бұрын
+Sovereign King The only place where i hear something akin to Howards style is in the high screams. 1:02 is a good example of what i think sounds a bit like Howards higher pitched screams. In terms of clean singing i have thought Jesse sounded like Howard on The New Awakening, but not in this song. I actually came in so much doubt about The New Awakening, whether or not it was Howard singing, that i asked Jesse on Facebook, and he said that Howard wasn't featured on the song.

On their EP and Alive Or Just Breathing Jessie sounds alright. I thought Howard was a huge improvement because is Lower Octave abilities and unmatchable range. But after The End Of Heartache things got progressively more ballady and whiny. Jessie came in and was a breath of fresh air and sounded really good. But this is the best he's ever sounded. He has vastly improved his ability to hit a lower octave giving him a much beefier and aggressive scream. just my opinion.

I'm a huge Howard fan, I actually knew kse with him at the vocals back in 06/7 and I got be honest... I used to despise anything they did before Howard, but then I went to a festival herer in Brazil in 2013 which happened to have kse and Jesse was FREAKING AMAZING. Don't get me wrong, I still prefer Howard, but Jesse sounds AWESOME live. He's really growing as an front man.

+Justin Dittburner I'm a huge Howard fan and never thought I'd get into Jesse's vocals but when I heard Alive or Just Breathing as well as Times of Grace's Hymn of a Broken Man, my opinion was changed. Both are incredible but Jesse just feels a lot more diverse. Plus, as a Christian, I feel I can relate deeper with Jesse and his lyrics (though Howard seemed to be heading a Christian direction by the progression of his lyrics with KSE).

+Dale Gribble I agree, but on the other hand this band would not be where they are now if Howard was still in it, he lost the energy that made KsE such a powerhouse metalcore band, Jesse is a much evolved vocalist and this band has quite a few albums left to give with Jesse back in it,and as someone who is a huge fan of Howard... trust me Howard leaving was the best thing that could have happened to KsE
@dukenukem57099 жыл бұрын
+jacob laferney (MrJakotic) If they have more albums left in them with Jesse, then they need to learn how to make music that doesn't sound the same. I swear every song they do with Jesse sounds just like the rest. It's not just Jesses fault, though. KSE has been very lackluster in the instrumentals for the past two albums. Howard brought diversity to the group, which I think made them such a large success. Not to mention Howard is a much more skilled singer and songwriter than Jesse ever will be. "Do yourself and you will he alright" haha really? Sounds like Jesse had been getting his lyrics from those stupid "chive on" posters.

+Duke Nukem I've never read something so untrue, did you know that basically because of Howard, the last self-titled completely sucked,maybe not completely but it wasn't a KsE driven record at all, they didn't have the creative freedom that they did that they used to and Howards overall performance on that last record was bad, the aggression wasn't there, the riffs were like something from a modern rock band, not to mention, there were no vocals from Adam, it wasn't a KsE record it was a record self-driven by Howards ideas, I mean come on man they turned to some dude who was helping record bands like Nickelback, this band is better when they come up with their own ideas. Howard is no where close to the vocalist/songwriter he was 10 years ago while Jesse continues to improve, and it's "I've seen rock bottom, and I smashed my fists against it, just keep telling your self it'll be alright." It also helps when you understand the overall message Jesse is trying to convey and unlike Howard Jesse writes about views from others perspectives rather than just his own he takes from around him and he wears his emotions on his sleeve, and usually when this band releases a single it happens to only be the tip of the iceberg, also this sounds completely different than their other material but in a good way, it has a progressive aspect to it but keeps the metalcore style. Trust me Howard leaving the band was the best thing that could have happened to this band they were losing their steam and drive and Jesse re-invigorated the band and it's creativity level this album is going to be better than Daylight Dies, but for me AOJB is as of right now the best KsE album :)

+AlphaLeader772 I don't think so. Their previous album was heavier.
@Alwayssmellgood249 жыл бұрын
Still plenty of traditional KSE melodic elements in this, but I think it "sounds" heavier too. It's the drumming, more harsh and at the forefront here....many KSE tracks have some nice drums but tucked away into the background lol.

feketetv Bro, the instrumentals sound like they are straight out of a deathcore song.

feketetv I've heard every single album, i like both Jesse and Howard's perfomances. Jesse gave me wisdom, Howard gave me hope about a girl i like, that i might see her again. Their first album was heavier but mainly the vocals, now even the instrumentals became better.

What I love most about this band (other than what Adam says live) is that every song is that while their songs are aggressive they are always melodic. Every song by them is amazing
