Alive Or Just Breathing set the benchmark for how modern metal is performed. It is still highly regarded as a masterpiece by many (including myself). It's just as much a landmark album as Iron Maiden's Number Of The Beast, or Dream Theater's Images And Words, or Machine Head's Burn My Eyes, or Pantera's Cowboys From Hell, you get my drift.

I'll admit I was pretty stoked back when I heard Jesse was the new front man because I always thought his screams were more brutal than Howard's (Howard's cleans are eons better though) but I haven't liked anything they've put out since he's been the frontman again. The End of Heartache was a masterpiece and the next two records after that were great but nothing Jesse has done since has really peaked my interest.
