Aw Maggie, such a sad story. But, yes, you definitely should pay a visit to Kilibegs, and to Donegal more generally. It’s a beautiful place.

A trip to killybegs is highly recommended with slieve league cliffs just around the corner. Magnificent.

Couldn't agree more Frank, you've probably seen my film on Slieve League, but it's a marvellous place too. Thanks for watching.

Killybegs is a great place, memories from early days and more recently, though those boats are always impressive. Good fish and chips too👍😊

I didn’t sample the fish and chips when I was there - that was a mistake I think! Thanks for taking a look at the video.

Wow, a crew member, that’s gotta be hard work, out on fishing boats?

@@nakedireland Yes very hard work for a young 16 year old 🙂but I loved it and it was very rewarding. I spent many months training at the BIM Fishery College in Greencastle Co Donegal before I went to Sea. So I was trained well and prepared in all aspects of seamanship and survival at sea

Brilliant character building stuff I imagine at that young age?

Really interesting to hear your story Fànore, hope you enjoyed the film, and perhaps other Naked Ireland films? There are quite a few shot in Donegal.

What a lovely place. I love how in Ireland you can get this close to ships, here in Uk no chance and docks closed to the public. Many a happy hour I spent in Wexford and Duncannon looking at the fishing boats close up. PS that's a hint for Duncannon video hahahahaha.
@nakedireland2 жыл бұрын
Never been in Duncannon, but next time I'm in Wexford I'll go there - thanks for the tip!
