Very nice pieces, all of them. The houses are my faves. So sweet they look. Like the textured roofs. Thank you for sharing. 👋 Bye Sheila Netherlands 🇳🇱

Hey Sarah! I am looking forward to seeing how you make your mini mugs. I made 3 of them. I decided it was an, 'in the New Year ' project for me!😂. Everything looks great! Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, I feel like in a lot of ways it's almost harder to make very small things. Less muscle, but the control needed is tedious. I am hoping I filmed enough of the right footage on that tutorial. You know how it is when you're looking back and wish you'd gotten more clips, different angles, or just explained things better.

@threelittlepotters Oh, I know how it is! I filmed my Little House Tute and then, made them again a completely different way. Now, I gotta refilm parts! UGH! 🙄

Hi Sarah! Another great kiln load! I feel you on the escaping ornament. I had a stilt fall all the way down to the bottom of the kiln and was able to reach it, only to recall I had forgotten to take out my glaze note slips after photographing each layer. Had to unload the kiln all the way down to the bottom shelf! I love your mini mugs and your houses. Super cute! Thanks for sharing! I'll need to look up the Dove Grey. It looks like a versatile glaze.

Unloading work you've already done is the worst! Here's the link to the recipe. It's Variegated Dove Gray by Liz Vigoda. glazy.org/recipes/18586

Always enjoy your videos Sarah! Have you done any videos on how you make glazes at home? This is territory I’ve not embarked on yet and would love to see your glaze making process!

I have done one... I will try and update it and make it better in the future. It has some music in it that everyone pointed out was annoying, but it still has some really good info if you want to check it out. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKTNp2OhqtRsnbM

It's so frustrating! I see why so many people do ornaments with no glaze on the back!

Question for you regarding Studio White. I bought and mixed this because of your suggestion (thank you!) but whenever I try to brush on a glaze over it, I get crawling. 😢 I've used some of the exact same glaze combos on bmix and I either get the crawling, pinholes, or both if I put another glaze over the Studio White. On its own, it's perfect, so no complaints on that part, I just can't seem to layer over it. 😢

That's very strange... can you share the recipe you used? Was it the exact same? Any weird subs? You can check the chemical analysis on glazy to see if it matches the original recipe. Also did you mix this yourself? Are you confident in all your measurements? If any of this is in question, you can mix a tiny 100g batch to use as a control. The next possibility for crawling can be your application, if you throw pieces that are very thin, after you dip a glaze, you're going to want to wait for them to dry a bit before adding more glaze. When your clay is already saturated with water, it won't have room to pull in more glaze from the one you're brushing on. So to test this I would dip a few pieces let them dry over night and then the next day brush on the commercial glaze and see if that makes a difference. Sorry I don't have a simple answer for you. It'll take some testing to figure out what is going on.

Yes, they are ornaments! I just loop a bit of ribbon through the handle.

Hi Sarah! I very much enjoy your videos. In this one you used “delft blue “ glaze. It’s gorgeous. Is this a homemade glaze or which brand did you use? Thank you so much for sharing!
@threelittlepotters28 күн бұрын
It is a homemade glaze. I use the Hansen 20x5 recipe with 3% Delft mason stain. The mason stain I believe is #6320. If you would like to test it with a pre-mixed glaze, you can order just mason stain from places like theceramicshop.com and test a small amount in whatever clear glaze you already use. I have a video talking about that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mobJcop5nLGqo8k
