a coat of manganese wash on the rim first, the poured the inside and carefully poured out. Tipped the bowl over and poured on the outside

Thank you! No problem. It is a recipe I got from glazy. glazy.org/recipes/7871. I suggest making a small test batch first. My last batch fired white. I’m not sure if it was a change in base ingredients or my new firing schedule. Good luck!

oh wow love your work! You mentioned you use a dark clay and a stoneware, do you fire them together at cone 6? Trying to get my head around stoneware vitrification. Thank you in advance :)

hi I fire everything together. This is pottery supply house mid range stoneware. Each clay company is a little different and should be able to recommend firing ranges. If you are using a digital controller, here is my firing schedule. I find this schedule really helps with pinholes I fire to about a cone 5.5, but my witness cones read 6 because of the long hold. (in farenheit) ramp speed temp hold 1 200 250 0 2 400 1000 0 3 180 1150 0 4 300 1967 0 5 120 2195 5 min 6 125 1900 30 min Hope that helps! Happy potting!

Thanks! Two types of clay in this load. One is a white stoneware, and the other is a medium brown stoneware. Fired to cone 5 1/2.

Clay is pottery supply house 515 Whitestone ware and 505 brown stoneware. Next video I’ll try to specify which is on which
