Kim you signed my Kool Thing shirt at the House of blues in Dallas in 2009. I took the wrong exit after the show and I walked out to the lot and stumbled upon Sonic Youth packing up their equipment. You're beyond kind when I asked for you to autograph my Kool Thing shirt that I had just bought, and you gathered the rest of the band members and had them all sign it as well. That shirt meant the world to me after that. I wore it everywhere for any and all occasions, give or take. It was stolen by an evil neighbor of mine in my building here in New Orleans where I live now many years later. I could have sworn you read my lips during the show when one song ended and fans were screaming names of songs for y'all to play. I merely lipped the words "Pacific Coast highway" and that is what a Sonic Youth immediately began to play I would have never thought that would happen. Better yet you took out a trumpet when it got to the part that has the solo midway through that sounds like an orgasm. I was never expecting anything that happened to happen during that show and I fell in love with a band that I had already been in love with and still to this day may have to say is my very favorite of all time and you are honestly the icing on the cake for me. You have no idea how much your music means to me, I miss that shirt dearly, but I love knowing that you are still doing Kim Gordon. My name is William Cockerham and I wanted to thank you again for your kindness and approachable demeanor, you are one of the greats and a real rock star whether or not you agree. It was an absolute pleasure to witness Sonic Youth on their last tour. Still to this day my favorite live show I've ever seen. Thank you so much for everything you do.
