PM only gives one month notice. I am not sure why other companies require 2months or even 3 months notice for a normal ranked position.

Most companies only need 1 mth notice. Never join a company that require 2~3mth notice. Just walk away and don't indulge these companies. If you give in, it is you fail to negotiate terms that are favourable to yourself.

@Slla-th5vt it is easy said then done, not everyone like you will negotiate everything, some will agree if there is good salary, flexi hour, or other benefits. Notice period is not an usual thing to negotiate when there are so many things to consider before accepting a job, I guess.
