Thank you Trevor for driving home the point that luck and circumstance is proven to be as much a determining factor in achieving wealth and success as hard work and desire. That means that wealthy people are not 'special' and they don't have any particular insight or helpful knowledge, and that you will be as likely to benefit from taking instruction from them as from a palm reader... better listen to your own inner voice and do what makes sense to you in your life and stop listening and pining to be like these self appointed gurus.

This is the best response to Kim’s comments I’ve seen. Her comments were condescending cause she was acting like just her hard work got her where she is, not luck or background and the reason why the rest of us aren’t successful is cause we are too lazy. On kuwtk she never worked at dash, and the one episode where she did, she couldn’t manage. Until she lives pay check to pay check, she keep her advice to herself

Kim Kardashian is so ignorant. She literally had all the cards played in her favor to make her successful coming from a rich family. Most people don’t have that opportunity and have to start at the very bottom from nothing. Because of the struggles of the recurring cycle that poverty and being low income brings, even with hard work, our society still makes it almost impossible to climb up the economic ladder. Why can't you all be or inspire other women to be doctors, engineers, police or military personnel, nurses, teachers, firefighters, astronauts, judges or great political leaders and other such dignified job roles that women can have that we all can be really proud of. The fact is Kim didn't work hard at all. She came from a well off family, made a nasty tape, got a reality show and did so called work from there. They haven't started business from the ground up whilst looking for seed money, loans or investors. She and her family got a show, made deals, advertised some dodgy pills at times, got companies to launch a collection with them and has her lingere line off the backnof being famous for being famous. If Oprah had said it then, yes, we'd respect her because Oprah worked hard from a poor background and earnt it through hard work! Kim was privilieged and got lucky not from putting in hours and years of building herself up from practically zero.
