Hey guys! Love your videos! The air purifier starts up automatically when you lush the start button on F1 or manually? Which other lasers do you use? I had the M1 but it went crazy beaming the laser and burning when is was supposedly to use the blade only. Only con I see with F1 is the cut area size .

The galvo is cool and when combined with the reduced work area, does seem speed things up. However, these are the same laser modules / power as the D1 pro. So to the extent that the laser power is the limit (which is often the case with the IR module), you won't be able to go faster than the D1.

Yes, BUT.... I WILL be able to personalize on the spot. It's something we've been discussing for some time now, the desktop lasers & filtration system is a lot to run from our booth and we don't have any kind of exhaust for the D1 so I think this will be a great alternative!

You might be wrong on that? Isn't this galvo style 1064nm laser beam reflected and focused with mirrors? There is no module that has to travel like it does on the D1Pro? There is no gantry. It is more like a real fiber laser. Otherwise, how would they get the up to 4000mm/s speed? It is not the reduce work area. Speed is independent from the work area. It either goes at that speed or it doesn't.

@@doen.8724 The max travel speed on the galvo is faster than the gantry for sure. Which does speed up travel across white space / unengraved areas. And in that fashion as well as the preview, it is similar to fiber laser. However the fiber lasers have more optical power, they usually start at 20w vs 2w for the IR module here on the same frequency or the 10w that is on the blue frequency. So actual work with the laser is still limited by the power of the laser - not the travel speed of the galvo vs gantry. So no, these aren't as powerful as a fiber laser. Not by a long shot.

I can't wait to get mine! It should be here sometime in August. It is going to be awesome to use at my fall craft fairs for personalization. Puts me above the rest of the laser booths. I also plan on using it to do my smaller engravings and use the D1 20w for my bigger projects. Next year...the CO2 P2! So glad you got this and can show me the ropes...LOL.

@@1234c0le Also have to consider for gantry systems engraving small objects, they will spend a large amount of time accelerating/deaccelerating and travel extra distance to do so . The max 400mm/s ~ 600mm/s would actually engrave slower than 100mm/s ~ 200mm/s depending on the size. This makes the galvo faster for small engravings, even when set to the same 400mm/s ~ 600mm/s of the D1/S1

For a hobby bit of kit, that's a good chunk of change. But for a professional engraving tool, that's pennies - if this thing is well made and reliable it's a steal for a business. But perhaps it isn't.
