I've been crushing on the young lady in the red polka dot dress since 1972, when I was 12. I'm 64 now, and still think she's a bad mamajama. We were different then and had more pride...and the music is still bangin' today. Not a mention of the "b-word" or the "n-word. If I tried to do the "Funky Chicken" now, folks would think I was having a stroke or a seizure. This was an excellent time .

Yeah and the men were more athletic and healthy. Now men have pot bellies, dumb ass haircuts, stupid baseball caps instead of cool hats, dumb ass tee shirts instead of cool ‘70s shirts. Modern men listen to their monotonous hip hop instead of this cool, soulful, groove music. The men today are dumb and barely able to communicate via 120/160 character messages.

I met Rufus and his daughter Carla backstage in 1965. . He was M C. The event. He asked me if I knew the Mississippi Blues. One weekend later he smuggled me down to Beale Street to a small club by the Mississippi (Beale St was "off limits" to young military). He took me to eat Cornbread, catfish and grits ( a real southern meal and introduced me to Muddy Waters ... Who truly taught me about the blues. I'm 77 now, but that man changed my life and I am forever thankful Bless you Rufus... Both father and daughter, such a gift to us all ❤
