I have had a soap stone wood burning stove with catalytic converter for 30 years in my master bedroom of my home and LOVE IT!!!. My Van/RV came with a Webasto so that and a 120 volt ceramic electric heater has done the trick but for sure you can't beat that HEAT!!!

I can understand your attraction to this Kimberly Stove! Fire has been an important element for psychological comfort (and other things), since the earliest days of human evolution! Converting this power for more modern uses, is a logical extension of this element! Watching your vids, Im becoming more & more sold on it...Cheers man!

The Kimberly caught my eye in 2014 when I began my van build, unfortunately the price kept me away from it and then space just wasn't available. I agree with you, nothing like being able to generate one's own heat, and nothing like a fire roaring on a cold winter's night. 👍🏻😄🚐

There's just something so mesmerizing about wood stoves and campfires. As a child I used to love going up to my mummo and pappa's house as they had an old wood stove in the center of their home and I could watch it burn for hours and hours on a cold winter night. They also had a wood stove in the steambath, but you didn't want to spend too much time staring into it, unless you wanted to turn into a lobster...lol

Stupid question.... I think I missed this somewhere. The air intake.... What did you use to keep the critter's and insect's out? Just a wire mesh? I know you have it sealed so that kind of stuff won't get into the RV. But, what if something built a nest in the air intake?

You worry about the cat jumping up on that stove. We have e cat too. How long does a log last? How many do you use through the night? After the fire is out, does your camper/space hold your heat. I like it. Is there a screen on the air intake, so you don't get stink bugs or what have you?

Great vid on the stove, I'm from the 'east' (. . . Saskatchewan . . .) and have lived with and used wood stoves almost all my life. Got a line in the budget for one of these for my retirement 'home'. If you haven't done so already do some research on Bogart industries TM-2030 and SC-2030 I think they are close to perfection when it comes to small solar controllers and getting every amp into your battery bank. I have them on an 80 watt panel hooked to a couple 6 volt deepcycle in my camper which is never hooked to shore power any more and I have never had the batteries below 90% with some pretty hard work. Also just wanted to say that I really appreciate how you show the real deal , tip and tricks , in the hard parts of rv living because the Internet can make it look so easy and romantic but hardly show the tuff times like shitty people complaining about where u park, just negatively profiling a person in a not so new rv as a threat for leach etc the list can gO on . Everyone or most just show the good or even go out their way to make it looks so easy and always beautiful living . No pics of condensation ,cold nights, police harassment etc. Etc ,etc...So I really try to send co workers to your channel so they can see that pro pain or using gas to warm the rv on yearly cold nights .0mg the kimber stove /heater is the business! One can cook I mean it multiple uses . Anywho list me stop ugging you . Bit if u can answer just a few or my hundred of questions I bother you with . It will help me with time and money so much I wish I can pay you for all the inspiration,? you give to thousands. My God blesses you And stay up my friend

+Nomad Patriot Their website claims it will heat up to 1500 sq. ft. cabin. But, that sounds like it is stretching it. I wouldn't want to be in freezing weather with it trying to heat that much space. Looks great for just about any RV or trailer although you'd need to circulate the heat a bit, which may require running a fan.

@JCredTV
@JCredTV 7 жыл бұрын
+SUPERNOVA people easily spend ten grand on nice ones for their homes. Saves money on wood compared to others, burns far more efficiently, and way cheaper to install. And here's a cost comparison: www.unforgettablefirellc.com/kimberly-wood-stove/
@JCredTV
@JCredTV 7 жыл бұрын
+SUPERNOVA $1000 is about the price for the little propane heater though.
@JCredTV
@JCredTV 7 жыл бұрын
SUPERNOVA compared to cars, the Kimberly is a well equipped sedan. But certainly not the priciest wood stove. You get what you pay for. I currently have an offer for $45 grand on my RV...without the stove maybe only 40 grand in their eyes. Simple as that.
@tonyinfinity
@tonyinfinity 7 жыл бұрын
***** I'm not knocking the stove, it's beautiful. But I just ordered a Mr. Heater for emergency and portability, also a Camco propane heater, and a Cubic Mini stove all for under $1000. I'll switch off between the two when I don't want to deal with a fire, all for a quarter of the price. But hey like i said the Kimberly is beautiful but I'm cheap, not going to spend over 4 grand on a vacation RV that's only $12k, if I lived in a $150,000 sailboat, sure.

+george farnsworth Well when you drive it is not at all important ifyou can use the stove because when you have the RV main engine running the Main engine can more than keep this entire RV warm actually the total heat output from a V8 engine under load is probably capable of heating a small apartement building
@JCredTV
@JCredTV 8 жыл бұрын
bernard240vdc yeah but it's more like, I often have it running but I have to run to the store, or drive to work, things like that. It doesn't affect the stove. If anything it makes it run better as it sucks all the air in from the intake underneath.

rshotrod1965 I've used all sorts of wood, but the most efficient and longest burning is the presto logs, that's why I use them. That and the fact the CEO of the company highly recommends them, so I had to try them. I'm not gonna do a two hour video showing every single type of wood lol. But yes I've burned lots of hardwoods as well, but my goal is zero chopping and zero splitting if possible. Cheers.

+Jjames Notme I am also a city dweller. Running out pf propane in middle of the night sucks! And the P9000 and 12000 put out only about 10% as much heat. They are not meant for primary heating, only as casual supplementary heating. Can't even cook on them.
