Aside from questions people have about, "Mah Healthcare," I see very few negatives about Canada becoming part of the United States. A constitutional republic has a ton of advantages, not to mention 1A and 2A.

Tbh as an American, I'd want Alberta to join us! Not just for the oil, but because it seems like Alberta is the Texas of Canada. They'd most likely fit right in with our culture and they speak the same language. I was just reading they wanted to rebel against Pierre Trudeau for wanting Canada to be bilingual in English and French.

you do not have a country. education is an important thing. your constitution was never ratified because Quebec did not agree to it and this was a requirement by the crown. anyone of the provinces could become a constitutional republic and join the united states of the american continent. in order to become a state in the union the province would need to become a republic with a house and senate with a supreme court and a governor. this would make them a sovereign country prior to being admitted into the union of states. this is a very doable thing.
