Hi I am a student from Turkey and I really enjoy your videos and way of teaching. Even if my professor in University is great I like your videos and watch them before my exams to recap. Thanks for your effort.

About to graduate soon, your vids have helped me SOOOOO much, especially since like half of my math professors have really thick accents and can be hard to understand sometimes. Just wish I had you as a professor more formally.

for the row column rule, how do you know how far to go when writing a_i1(b_1i)+a_i2(b_2i)... etc, like why do you only do 2 why didnt you do a 3rd a_in(b_ni) in the example at 11:30

Sorry for being late to this, but my guess is that by definition, you go up to n, where n is the dimension of A, which is an m x n matrix. Let me know if I'm wrong.

theres a mistake with a + sign in the 9 minute interval anyone else notice?

In Theorem 2 when using the identity - if the identity matrix is a square with dimensions matching corresponding n & m of A (depending on if left of right multiplied), then A will always be mxn. If that is the case, is A ever a square matrix?

if we can define both AB and BA would AB be equal to BA

Great stuff

What happens when you lets say A = 3x3 and B = 2x3? In this case, 3 and 2 does not equal each other. So what do you do?
@SawFinMath4 жыл бұрын
Then you can't multiply AB, but could still multiply BA resulting in a 2x3 matrix.

Around 9:50 your equation says add, but you multiplied. Which is correct?

a12 and b21 are multiplied, just as the definition above says. she might have done a writing mistake !!

Hello professor, could you show how you make videos: record, edit - complete equipment and everything that goes into making a video presentation like this with Great detail?
@SawFinMath Жыл бұрын
Of course. For hardware, I use a Surface Pro (latest model) and a Fifine microphone from Amazon. For software, I use Power Point. I don't do editing, in general, as if I mess up, I just rerecord a slide. If I do have to edit, I use Movavi Academic. Here are the basics: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGqzineQjryDraM
