Well, Maangchi was right-handed. The glove were used when taking out the kimchi so it won't be contaminated and easier to clean for the hand. The knife get dirtied by the kimchi anyway so she won't bother taking off the glove. It just practical.

For those people who come here after watching Uncle Roger review, don't you dare to insult her cooking.. 1. she's on her vacation, got fresh seafood for low price.. of course she gonna use the best of it.. 2. I never saw someone bring whole fridge to vacation.. so it's normal to be lacking of ingredients here and there. I mean MAYBE this is her last day on vacation, she used up her kimchi brine, so she substitute it with water. 3. She even make normal kimchi fried rice.. go watch it.. she used kimchi brine.. 4. Please, before you judge her, compare your self with her..
