The true meaning behind this movie is actually pretty scary. It’s not about brain power. It’s about the consciousness power over reality (simply by altering perceiving it)

@getschwifty5537 Жыл бұрын
If that had explicitly been the premise instead of them leaning on having Morgan Freeman recite a debunked myth as scientific fact then perhaps reception of this movie would have been better. Seen as less silly. Lean into the fantasy of some reality altering drug being made (her levitating immediately upon it getting into her system suggests the substance itself is capable of warping reality, and by absorbing it she ends up being able to consciously warp reality) that unlocks a new way of perceiving reality, and thus allowing someone to learn how to weave it, instead of the more incredulous fantasy that anyone could do this stuff with their brain power at any percentage and you have yourself a much more solid science fantasy thriller.
Never ever look in the mirror when you are tripping.

The people saying we use 100% are actually delusional and self centered 😂😂 we use a maximum of 35% as research has shown over again throughout these past years with the technology we have today. And ofc you won’t be able to move things with your mind and shi but if we did use 100% we would be actually able to control our own full body. Once again research has shown this by stimulating with electrons to the brain.

Well.. all of that is wrong, we use most of our brain activity when doing activities that require it, such as homework, work, and other exercises. I mean, I guess somehow someway the mind could be connected to some neural network to get such powers that bend our perception and make things appear that aren’t there, but we are pretty far from that point. About a 100 years or so, give or take that amount till we get the technology to get that far.

Milla Jovovich was as genius in 5th as Scarlett is here. Both such amazing movies. If pressed this is my fave. I dont care if its not “true”. It still makes you think. Morgan Freeman is amazing as well, as always. If I was into Halloween maybe I would dress as Lucy. Honestly I think very few people would get the reference but those who would get it are my Homies

Her cells needed more sources but didn't get it so they wanted to become immortal, its like turning into a independent bacteria instead of a body cell

Is that why she disintegrated? Simply because her cells couldn't tolerate alcohol? Oh no, because her cells did not get more than what she needed to stay stable.

She desintegrated because it looks dramatic and the creators of the movie have no idea about science. Something like this couldn't possibly be connected to one's brain or any other part the body. Cells have no free will and can't go back to being a one cell organism.

How could a brain evolve with such a huge capacity physically yet noone has ever used all of it mentally...that's not how evolution works...just like no matter how fully you use your muscles you'll never have the ability to teleport...that's a different ability completely...just because you use your brain to think that doesn't let you make plants grow or hover objects

The brain is what simulates all the sensory input it receives. Now imagine if you had root access to the brain and you can alter the simulation. Now you can make plants grow and hover objects! You may have the ability to alter the simulation on a local level but shit ain't gonna be seen by anyone else unless you got admin access to the LAN and you run mass-hallucination.exe

evolution. thats old school. everything is separate and singular. figure how that happens. darwin didnt go any further than to say " its a theory my dad has "

Only thing I can think the brain may do is trick your eyes into a different perception. Just like drugs, once consumed, they may or may not give out hallucinations. Maybe in a way the brain could connect to a neural network to change everyone’s perception of something and make it a different outcome. But yet, we all would have to be connected to it to see the difference. Same thing as the vr equipment. Must have it to be there, or have it of course recorded through the same network.
