Great acting. One thing I only has issue is there are moments where Jenna's trying to be creepy all the time which I think is not necessary and takes away some of Wednesdays adorableness. Ricci did a great interpretation of Wednesday because she's not being creepy all the time. She's not trying to be different. And in fact, in some moments, you still could see and feel her as just a child like everyone else. That's she's a normal child with just a different interest and values. Jenna's interpretation made me feel she's like OWNING the character more than being the character. Like she's putting the character Wednesday into a box and making her isolated and different to everyone. While Ricci portrays her as more like a quirky, free soul. She's no different than an average girl but simply expressing herself the way she wants without caring about the opinion of other people, but not to the point that she's trying to be different or distance herself to others. In her eyes, she's not weird and unconventional. Everyone else do. She's just she. While Jenna's Wednesday feels like a normal teenager trying to be different and forcing that to fit into the society. She looks angry to me. Perhaps because of how the story was written. In this story, Wednesday was trying to FIT IN a normal teenager society. Which Wednesday is NOT. Wednesday won't try to fit herself. She's she. To her eyes, she's just a normal person with normal interests and values. Everybody is just dumb.
