Finally doing a song I see requested a lot! I had to key it down (-2) though because the original goes so high and I learned my lesson with Lost One’s Weeping. I really love this song tbh and tried my best to have the lyrics flow well but also keep that jazzy rhythm that’s so important to the original. Like, I didn’t realize just how jazz this song was until I was swaying back and forth trying to get those lyrics to feel more “swing-y”. That said, it was really fun to record and will probably go down as one of the more enjoyable covers in the hundreds I’ve done lol. I know there are youtiate out there who can probably do this genre better and I kinda hope they borrow my lyrics bc it’d be so cool!
Anyway, please enjoy! I was gonna use my new mic but I still don’t know how to mix it well so for now, I’m sticking to my Yeti until I’m comfortable with it haha.

The meaning of this song but not complicated as heck: basically someone broke up with her after they led such a good relationship and now she wants to forget it ever happened. One of my best friends went through the exact same thing The way I imagine it is (this has nothing to do with the lyrics) life is a marathon and certain people join and leave as I run. So yeah.

This song is so important to me honestly Not just because it's such a lovely song, but because it's kind of been a comfort song for me I guess?? I kind of connect to it, but not really in a super uber personal sense??? Most of the time, I listen to it and it's like gosh it SUCKS to lose people you care about or to just lose contact with them because I've experienced a little more of that than I've wanted to ahaha. Definitely relate to this. This song comforted me when dealing with a breakup and it helped me move on and realize that it’ll all be okay. It’s my favorite song of all time. It started off by loving the sound on Project Mirai DX, and once I looked up the lyrics, it just stuck to me and helped me through so much. It’s so important to me that I decided this would be my first cosplay!!

I love that you've been singing in a more natural-sounding voice recently. Not that your older covers are bad - for example, World is Mine is supposed to sound high and cutesy, and I absolutely love that cover to death. when I first heard this song in Project Mirai DX, it was one of my favorites, simply because of the tune and the rhythm of the lyrics, but I never knew what they lyrics *meant*. your cover of this song was the first exposure i had to a translation, and I learned that this song is actually pretty sad (with a happy resolution, though!) honestly, it makes me love the song even more great work, Juby!

This song helps me cope with relationships that have ended badly. There are so many meanings to the lyrics but gradually she learns to try and move on and let good relationships come into her life still. I am currently heartbroken over someone ignoring how we used to be and I have finally realized that it's okay to meet new people and let them get close to you no matter how scary intimacy can be after feeling betrayed in a sense.
