Does anyone take to account that this was back in 2001 when he had just started? He didn't know how to deal with media. Imagine how he must've felt back then, being only 21 and already being called the next Häkkinen. He's gotten better with interviews since then and let's his personality come through more. He's a legend.

I love how 9yrs. of Formula1 still hasn't changed Kimi and what he believes in. At the time of this video he knew Sauber were his ticket into F1 but yet he stated that Ferrari and McLaren are the only 2 teams that can give him a winning car. And he sticks to that statement even today. I like how he said if you don't win in Formula1 you are no one. Gotta love the man's principles. I hope to see him race in 2010 but if I don't I'll know why. Thanks for uploading/translating this video.

It's weird. I've watched him in a lot of interviews and it's like nothing is a big deal to him. I don't know if he's modest or that driving comes so easily to him that he sees what he does as no big deal. He almost seems amused or bewildered that people think what he does is special. He just seems so convinced and secure in his abilities that it would be incredulous for him to think he has anything to prove. I really don't know I'm just trying to understand him.

@armydray13 I think both. He's modest and driving comes so easily to him that he sees what he does as no big deal. I remember him answering a question "from where does your talent come?" the following way "Dunno, it just comes, automatically, I don't think about it when driving that much, it comes from somewhere." He's mysterious but in a way so simple. :)

Funny thing is he actually was bringed to childrens pshycologist when he was child by hes parent's, because he was maybe a bit odd socially.. You know, nothing bad, but litle weid bird if you will. The psychologist told that Kimi's IQ is so much higher than normal child's are, that he founds it hard to communicate with other children, and that slowered hes social skills development. Childrens test was too easy for him, he was put in adults test and did in minutes what some adults do in hours.

Oh, yeah! It's awesome, isn't it? Not many F1 drivers could tell that he was driving for both! :) Plus you can dream about driving for McLaren or for Ferrari, but it's become reality in Kimi's case.

Lol yeah ppl saying Finns have no personality always perplexed me. I have seen very many being very much themselves, unique, extra, expressive, silly etc Tbh most things I see Kimi in, he's smiling and laughing and even joking sometimes. But then SOMETIMES.. There is this version. :') Depends on many things.
